Hi folks. I don't have another plant problem. But I took pics of the one I had earlier. @Waira may want to use these.

I am 99% sure this is botrytis bud mold. It could be some other one I suppose. But I lost three kolas of my monster plant. I spotted it in a very early stage and snapped these while I was removing them.

I believe it could have taken much of the plant if I had not gotten it so fast. After removing the obvious mold I harvested the whole plant. I made a two bucket dip, and washed everything.

bucket 1, warm 4 gallon water with 1 mug full of baking soda, and one small slice of lemon, squeezed in the water. Second bucket was just cold water. Shake the buds in there, and let dry for an hour in a dish rack. It should remove the majority of spores and ensure a clean dry/cure

:crying: ..... Fooooooooooock-ing mold! :finger::doh::finger: 2G's, sucky to hear my man, I quite literally feel your pain...:bighug::rofl:.... as an outdoor grower with uncertain Fall weather, this menace all too familiar,... spotting it while on the plant or just after harvest is a freakin' Jedi skill, honed my trauma and anger-.... OK, when my bung is barking about mold friendly conditions, I start daily scouting of the plant, especially the main cola, tops, low inside areas... typically what gives it away for me, is I notice a small or sugar leaf looking wilted a bit, and more off-color that surrounding areas,... I tug firmly at it, and if it pops off easily, (most likely) botrytis has moved in,.. miserable bastard fungus moves through the stem tissue, right up into new bud, then explodes over the outside.... spores are like zero-G dust, goes everywhere just by looking at it! ....So, when your ass unclenches enough for you to move again, it's time to get medieval on the bud, how ever painful it is to do,...:nono:... Basically, this shit is like gangrene,... good, narrow bladed small tip scissors are key, no fat blades, just trust me,... You have to start snipping out whole budlets at the stem base, gently clearing from the bottom up, works well,.. chop away anything even discolored, and depending on how bad a zone is, clear out a clean margin of "good but spore dusted" bud,... alcohol and wipes after every cut, particularly important when clearing margins!... cut with a fouled blade in a clean zone, and all you've done is inoculate it,... Lastly, try not to weep too much, as it interferes with your vision..!.... accelerate drying speed if possible; I break big buds down, especially dense ones... Low RH is helpful (35-40%), low-mid 70's, gentle air movement,... higher temp will speed more, but you lose more terp's, so there's a trade-off to evaluate there,...
Cheers 2G's,:pass: ... sure , I'll bring these into the Infirmary sticky area,... should start a pic collection in fact-

Thanks Waira. I won't be ready to claim victory untill I can get these bad boys in jars. But timely removal, and the luck of being at harvest time combined to allow me to save a 3 pound (wet) harvest. The dinner plate sized buds in the pictures were all that I lost so far. I did what you said with the effected buds, and am drying them separately. Hopefully, when I open the bag next week (outside!) they will be green.

I spent double the time on bleaching my grow room and equipment this time too. I even wiped the electrical cords with alcohol. This is war.
