Hey everyone.

This is the first time that this has happened to me. I have a plant that is about a month old but it looks like its only a week old.

Using about 280 watts of cfl
growing in soil
lights are close
haven't fed any nutrients
temps about 80's

I've been using the same method for a while without ever having this issue.

Pictures will help alot to give you advice bro :smokebuds:

What kind of soil do you use? Sometimes heavy fertilized soil burns roots, also a lump of rock or compressed organic material could inhibit further growth of the main* root > this seems to me as the most likely explanation. Start diggin'!
Also this could be a genetic flaw for instance a lack of a good germination root. I've seen this happen in a few kush seedlings which developed only leaves - no root whatsoever - and died a month later.

*my vocabulary sucks, what I mean is the root that goes straight down from the stem, branching off into the entire root system. Is there an exact word for that?

Thanks guys
Lr2jd. I use soil without any nutrients. It's basically 50/50 soil and perlite. I never had problems like this before.
Stonemaster: It's only 1 plant

She looks hungry to me carlos what you feeding her ? if nothing get some grow into her right away mate , because you use the soil / perlite , 50 / 50 you only have half a pot of soil not a pot of soil so the medium wont hold nutes as well , plus the next time you plant your girls or pot up fill your pots right up mate dont be shy with your soil mix its this that holds the food for your girls mate :peace:

She seems quite healthy though. Apart from the fact that a few leaves have died. The rest seems healthy, a few nutrients might breathe some life back in her growing cycle. Maybe she's root bound due to the small pot, but my first guess is still that there might be some obstructions in the soil. Or a case of genetic dwarfism, but that is a chance of about 1/20000. I really can't help you any further to be honest.

How old is the CFL? I noticed with my dual spec 250w CFL that it wore out rather quickly, meaning I managed to get one decent grow out of it, one medium grow and the last one was pretty naff...
