First grow, outdoors Midwest area. Using 3 gallon nursery pots. using a mix Fox Farm OF (1.5 cubic foot bag) mixed with HF (2.cubic foot bag) with about 19% perlite. Planted May 30th . 1st picture is an Auto seeds Candy Kush - Leaves are kind of wrinkled and pointing upward around the edges. 2nd pic Auto seeds Trans Siberian - This one was planted at the same time except shes a lot smaller and seems to just be looking more sickly than the CK with wrinkled leaves also. Any info about what im doin wrong w those 2 would be GREATLY appreciated!! Im growing 3 of the candy Kush and 3 of the trans Siberian. Havnt used any nutrients and fed once with purified bottled water. It did rain terribly the first day after they popped the surface, could this possibly be the reason??

There's nothing wrong with either plant, mate. They're doing just fine in those pics.

If the soil is still quite moist, just leave them alone. Don't do anything except tell them how lovely they are and that you are proud to make their acquaintance.

Make sure the snails & slugs & caterpillars don't get them!

How much sun do you reckon they are getting each day?

Seriously, they look fine for their age.

Cheers,
Bed

Hey thanx for the help bed!!! I was scared for those 2 little ones!!! I feel much better now. in the state that I live in (mid west us) the sun rises around 5:15am right now and sets at about 8:30. It has been pretty cloudy though about half of the days that they've been growing and abnormally cold the first few days but since this past weekend the temp is more in the range of what it should be right now. I appreciate your help a lot!! as this is my first grow and I still have a TON to learn. Ive been spending ALOT of time though reading everything on this site and basically all other sites that have info about growing autos. Trying to be as efficient as I possibly can!! Again thanx ALOT!!! Jl

I have some trans going now too and at first i was just as worried. They seem to look more fragile then the the other strains I have with them. Bit the catch up and make it through. i agree they look good. It's hard being a new parent!!

Hey thanx for the help bed!!!

You're quite welcome!

I shall take advantage of your exuberant appreciation and preach to you about keeping your grow simple.
I don't use any fertilizers, no special water, and have never owned a PH meter.
Once upon a time I fooled around with fertilizers and more times than not ran into trouble.

Look at the weeds in your yard. Look at the trees. Look at the wild flowers. None of them guys need fertilizer!

I swear before you and the God of all gods that fertilizer does not really boost a yield by a significant amount---certainly not enough to risk the high probability of fucking with the plant's natural chemistry.

All a plant needs is dirt, water, lots of light, and lots of loving vibes.

Hell, I grew a giant 6 foot bush outdoors in nothing but plain old adobe dirt in California. You wouldn't think anything but the hardiest & gnarliest weeds could grow in it---but then, marijuana began as a weed, yea?

Just saying.

Remember---look at Nature's trees, weeds, and wild flowers...all doing just fine without any fertilizers.

Ya at least their is a semi guide to growing....wish i had that for my kids.

Hey roark your right, when the company give you details about the strain, they say its supposed to be easy to grow and hearty. The first couple days they started looking quite a bit better than my candy kush were looking, all the candy kush looked pretty sad at first, then a couple more days went by and the candy kush started looking a lot better than the TS, except for 1 plant and then the trans were the ones looking kind of sad. Now this morning only 1 of each looked worse than all the others, which worried me but bed said they were fine...well now about 8hrs later I just took a walk out there with a flashlight and low and behold all of them look really good now, the 1s that I had thought had a problem are already looking so much better than they did in the pics!! Its NUTS how fast these plants grow and change!!! The ones in the pictures I posted still don't look like the others but already look better than they did, without doing anything to them, so like bed said before I was freaking out for nothing lol, if it wasn't for the help from you guys on this site I probably would have done something stupid to try and fix them, who knows what and would probably ended up fu#*ing them up lol. So thank God for the help and knowledge passed to me from you guys!!! without the help from other growers that know what their doing id most likely fail, but def have confidence in myself knowing I have the help of ppl on AFN!!!

Bed - That sounds good to me, I welcome any and all tips and knowledge that you care to throw my way!! :) I do plan on using fertilizers though but not for a cpl weeks and not anywhere near full strength, I plan on easing them in VERY gently when the time comes, starting with VERY low doses just to try and get the most potent and best yield possible, I bought the fox farms trio already when I purchased my soil. As far as water I have well water at home that is no good even to drink, then there is a spring up the road where ppl fill up jugs for drinking and tastes very good i was planning on using that but had a crazy high ph when I checked it, so im glad I checked that before I used it. The water im going to use is just purified RO water in a jug, the ph is 6.5 - 7 so im not going to mess with that and its only about 1$ per gallon at the grocery store. I do not doubt what your saying though about not needing anything but the dirt, water, light and some good vibes to grow, Im going to keep it as simple as I can with the exception of the FF trio when the time comes. Also when I start using the nutes depending what they do to the water then I will have to adjust accordingly if it ends up throwing the ph of the water off. As far as amending the soil that I am not going to do, the guy at the local hydro store said it was not necessary to even check the soil ph being that its already buffered (I think that's the word for it lol) other than that just TLC will be all I give them and hope for the best with the little ladies

Thanx 4 your guys help and input though - Roark - how old are your trans? are you growing indoors or out? I'd luv 2 see some pix if you have any...

I have pics on my journal. 9 plants 5 flavors of goodness. If you look at the markers you'll see the trans.
Both were stunted early, my bad not the seeds, did little for almost two weeks. But I tell you they loook good now.
I'm doing indoor flood N drain. Happy growing
