New Grower pls help a neewbie :-)

Neewbie here to growing but just one Q if you could help me out ....

Im on day 22 of my grow, I've only just found your site, and just wanna check im on the right track here.

Im growing 2 pyramid seeds 1 osiris and 1 anubis. They stand at 5in.

The anubis plant seems to have moonshaped segment missing from 1 leaf nd is yellow on the fringe of this missing hole. Another 2 have sum discoloration on them. Sort of yellowy green. Each r only a few mil big..

Was wondering if it was just the beginning of nute burn?....nd if so should I not start feeding nutes (which I have not done at all yet) even though I am into my 3rd week?

I think the soils too rich as everywhere on here seems to say use a light mix nd I got biobizz all mix.

Im using a 250watt CFL nd reflector ( got 1 of each spectrum) nd set em up in a 80x80x160 tent 6inch frm soil/plant top. Im using tap water that has been aired for 48hrs 1st but have no means at mo to test ph...fingers x on that 1. I have practically zero environment control apart from a small fan. I have only today started a light schedule of 18/4 as I've only just read this is better.

With this setup do ya think I could pull 2oz dry off of each or am I kidding mysel?lol


Any help and tips would be great.....as long as there not too expensive (still need my weed money, for now anyways ;-) )

Welcome to the forums hitch, glad to have ya here brother. Take some time and fill out an introduction post over on the introduction forums if you have the time - we'd like to get to know ya if you're here for the long haul!

Just from what I'm reading about the size / age of the plants and the symptoms makes me feel like you may be over watering. It's very hard to tell without pictures. So I have a ton of questions for you and if you can answer them the best you can, then we'll be able to give you the best advice we can.

Are you using straight BioBizz All Mix? Nothing added to it at all?
What are the temperatures in your tent?
Do you know your water company? If you could, PM me your water company and your postal code and I'll get a water report - if you know how to get one, just PM me the water report.
Have you spilled any nutrients on the leaves at all, even a droplet when watering? Even if you don't remember doing so, is it a possibility?
How often do you water? How do you know when to water?

How much do you have to spend overall? I'd say your first investment should be means of pH monitoring at the very least even if it's a cheap meter. You're in the UK I take it? There's a cheap meter I recommended to a new grower on here that is working well for him and comes with calibration solution.

How soon before you can get us some pictures? Don't worry about your yield bro, your first grow should be about learning and rectifying issues.. getting your environment dialed in and not having issues early on. Then we'll worry about yield!

Im with Anglican water in the SG area of the UK. I had been keeping the soil as moist as wen I planted. Now having read your reply looked into it a bit more and think I should of been letting the soil pretty much dry out long ago before watering again?

Temp is a hard one. Dnt have much in way of control. Rooms always at the same heat....bout 13-15C. But in the tent a few degree higher coz that light does put out some decent warmth.

I have about another 30quid this month and another hundred say mid April. So could pos get a cheap meter.

Wil have a look at the intro thing mate. Do hope to be here do the long haul! Nd yeah I no im impatient but cnt help but dream of big yields im in between laptops so wil gt pics as soon as I aquire a new 1. Doing everything by phone at the min. Which is very slow.lol

I hope a few degrees is more like 4-5 degrees, because that's too cold for the plants brother.. you want 23-25C in the tent. Also, you want to let the plants dry out pretty good before you water again.

Pick up a freshly watered pot and feel how heavy it is, then wait, each day pick it up and you'll feel water consumption.. when it's nice and light (usually 3-4 days depending on pot size, but at that stage in the plants life definitely 3-4 days). As well, your low temps mean that water is not taken up as quickly because the plant isn't transpiring as much. So you might even run a week between waterings. Your essentially suffocating the plants by keeping the temps low and the plants heavily watered.

Get your temp up a bit, let your plants dry out a lot more before watering.. it's easy to fix under watering, very hard to fix over watering. Use your finger, go knuckle deep in the soil - if it's wet at any point, don't water yet. With that water company I'd need a postal code to obtain your water quality. If this is something you'd like to private message me it'd be best. For safety purpose I'd rather it not be posted on the open forum after I understood how postal codes worked in the UK.

I'd work on the other issues first and save up until mid April and get a decent meter. Your issues are from hot soil and over watering (this is my without pictures and the answers given). In the future, mix 50/50 or start in Light Mix.

What nutrients do you have for when the time comes? It's hard to tell if it's time to feed without plants.. don't forget with a soil like AllMix and constant watering you're constantly releasing those fertilizers. That explains the patches and 'burn' you're seeing in the leaves.

Yer was a bit sus bout the postcode area myself. Il get on a water report, take it I can just request 1? If not wil look it up. Got to learn! Wil bug you some more if I run into trouble

Got any suggestions for temp. I've avoided it til now, dnt want to burn the house down not knowing what im doing. Can u get in-tent heaters ?

Defo sounds like its temp and overwatering will take heed and avoid from now on...oh nd I have biobizz bio grow and the bloom equivalent 500ml...

The ph is 7.27 min 7.37 avr and 7.46 max..?
