Wow thanks for the detail! I went ahead and bought a horticulture bulb on amazon, but when walking through the hardware store I couldn't help but notice a price difference when the colors matched. Now I know what to look for in a bulb!
I wish you all the best in your growing adventure!:karma Cloud:
But I suggest you take a look @ some good Led grow light!:gthumb:
First there more safe to use, no risk for exploding bulbs causing fire!
No need to switch lightbulbs and having the risk in destroying stuff!
Easy to install and use!
I believe it is just a matter of time before everybody starts to use leds!
Back in the game! Both lights now working, I'm bringing the new fixture and number 2 Ballast up to operating temp to make sure everything is running ok. Since I'm still germinating seeds I'm only using one light (2 popped from there warm moist cubes while I was at work and are looking much, healthier). And Jesus that second light really brightens up things! I think I'll have to use my sunglasses to get in there to do my daily chores, lol.
It seems the gonja gods will only grant me three seedlings for this turn, ill try and make the most of it. Having said that, the three new seedlings look meaty, much thicker than under that little cfl. They sat under the 250 mh under a dome, the light was 2 feet above with a fan blowing keeping the light and dome cool. Now i have a browning or yellowing of the tip of the first leaves, it's only one leaf but don't know what caused it, maybe my light was too close but I was wondering if anyone out there might know what caused it. I'm not worried, just curious.
