New Grower Popping my grow cherry.

When you bought them they should have said reg or fem. Other than that idk have to wait to sex them. Some people use 24 hrs of light that is the beauty of auto's. I use 18/6, I like letting my girls have a break.

Okay im going to switch to a 20/4 just so its not a mega jump in Lighting time to the plants. Also I have upgraded my wattage so now I have about 225w of cfl. Have the 2700 and 6500 spec covered. Been introducing Morbloom and seems to be going smoothly. Pictures to be posted later tonight

Okay few questions got my new lights going and the plants are growing but one is very short and another one the leaves are drooping towards the tips. Any tips on whats causing this. Pictures hopefully upload.

Hello everyone. Posting a couple recent pictures, got some worries. Tips of leaves on larger plant are pointing downwards. Both seem very small in my opinion, for around the three and a half week maybe four period. Im assuming this was due to my lack of initial knowledge about enough watts or lighting and an early transplant. Have 220w of cfl on them now. Any opinions or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time, have a great week.

That kind of leaf curling and twisting is usually overfeeding or environmental stress, especially temperature issues. How are the heat and humidity? Watering and feeding? Runoff pH?

See thats the thing. The temperature seems warm, in the right range. But I dont have a temp/humidity gauge. Or ph. I do believe its rather dry in there, could prob bump my humidity up. Just a glass of water in there? And for feeding and watering I wait until the pots dry before I water, and just using basic shultz liquid plant food. Nothing major...this was an initial run, I see theres a few things I need to invest in. (Temp gauges and ph)

looks like overfeeding or overwatering. That down-turned leaf tip suggests nitrogen toxicity, but your leaves don't look particularly dark. I'd say let em get good and dry before watering again and lay off the nutes for a bit.

Okay didnt want to start a new thread and bother everyone with a simple question. My plants in this thread I have pretty much given up on. Let them grow as they may. I now know many places I made mistakes. Anyways point being I have some dinafem white widow and auto pounder seeds coming from attitude. Also going to grow with ProMix. Just the all purpose bag as I cant get the hp or bx or whatever. Anybody had experience with these strains and/or this soil? Any recipes for success? Ha

Okay I have purchased my soil moisture meter, temp/humidity gauge, and ph meter. I have picked up Promix potting mix, perlite, bone and blood meals. I keep reading with these ingredients I need some worm castings? If anyone has a ratio to mix with these ingredients I would greatly appreciate it. Only mixing for two, three gallon pots.

:welcome: & nice stealth cab.

Probably the best thing as a new grower is to NOT have a ton of time to spend with your plants. They want to grow, and they'll do that best when we get out of their way!

with all due respect to Mr Botwin, Im going to slightly disagree.
A wise grasshopper once said to me - its ok to spend a decent amount of time with them, especially as a new grower as it allows you to identify any (possible) issues sooner rather than later, as time is the essence when it comes to autos...which to me sounds like a good theory..but in the same breath you dont wanna have TOO much time to spend with them, cause then you'll end up overanalyzing and screwing something up ;)
