Pure Michigan, Poor Genetics

I've perused his site and I like what I'm seeing. From now on, I refuse to patronize any business that isn't thoroughly vetted. The, "Calling Out Bad Autoflower Genetics/Actors" has brought many issues to light. I'm only half way through it though.
I was under the impression he bought them from Twisted Tree. I bought them directly from the breeder and have also experienced subpar results.

There was also another thread about poor quality and there's another poster here on this thread who had an issue with the Pure Michigan strain. The problem is the strain, not the end users. An obvious pattern has formed.

Also, a decent reputable company doesn't make excuses for a poor product and look for ways to cover it up. Instead, they focus on correcting the issue while helping the customer get what they need. I'm contemplating filing a chargeback with my bank over this.
I havent had one chargeback in 5 years of paying crazy CC processing fees. What does that tell you? What am I covering up?

Order number 2034. I paid $54.99 total for 10 seeds. That's roughly 5 dollars per seed and frankly it doesn't matter if they were only 2 dollars. I work hard for what little money I make and throwing it away on what is essentially a defective product is unacceptable to me.
You aren't being truthful. Every 10 pack has more than 10 seeds and you got a 2 pack of one of our f1 crosses.

Perhaps I'm an outlier, but if I buy seeds that are outright cheap, from a small local company and with no stated upfront warranty, I have no expectations of getting or seeking a refund or adjustment if some of the seeds don't sprout.

Getting 2 (actually 3, with 1 plant dying) out of 5 seeds to sprout is actually very good for a beginner! There is really nothing to complain about.

Hey @jimmywells - Iampepe has been pretty cool to message/PM/DM with. Maybe you guys could talk about a solution that works for both of you. I can understand your frustration though. Mang, have you seen the price on Mephisto seeds? Like $15 each!

@iampepe - I also recently had trouble getting the Pure Michigan to germ and I ordered direct. However, my Stargazer seeds have been super easy. So I dunno. I chalked my fail rate up to being a new grower but the difference between packs was noticeable. Could have just been a tough batch of seeds. I'm not hatin' and you hooked up the extras so I felt my order was reasonable on price.

Everyone is in a different situation so for me, pack didn't grow? Eh, buy another try again. Other folks I totally get it being a significant cost. I don't see Twisted Tree or Pepe making excuses just some questions to get things sorted.

Aight, y'all have a smoke, chill, & chat with each other. Just my take on it.

We just geminated a bunch without any problems. There's no way I'd be selling seeds that I know are having a hard time germinating. I'm literally germinating seeds constantly, have been for years. I have not seen a problem with any strain.
I'm not perfect.....Each time there was a failure it was my fault. Yes I've screwed up 250 dollar packs of seeds and had to buy more. User error

Speaking of Mephisto. I made 100's of thousands of seeds for Mitch and Tim with no issues. If you bought seeds from them between 2016 and our fire then its highly likely I made them. I know for a fact that they ignore that vast majority of germ complaints. Mitch used to do germ test all the time and report it, there was never a problem. 99% of the time, bad germ rates falls on the grower. Ask any breeder when they see the most complaints and they'll tell you its in the cooler months of the year. Growers just arent germinating in good temps.

:pass:
But I thought seed companies were in business to supply new growers with an endless supply of seeds till they figure out how to germinate.

This appears to be the source of your problems -- an unrealistic (where does it come from?) belief that a seed (or any) company selling you something should give you infinite replacements (or refunds) or even owes you anything, particularly when successful use of the seeds (or other product) requires having needed knowledge, skills, environment and equipment, which you admit you have yet to "figure out."
