I have seen you use this technique quite a bit. Do you always get that much stretch with your seedlings with DWC? Also, I think I saw a root riot cube in one of the pics, do you top feed until roots hit the res, and if you do, do you worry about the cube getting over saturated?

@AKsteel I used it on my last grow because of stretch. This grow to be honest I think I messed up and didn't get the seed at the right depth in the Rapid Rooter. The straw supports the seedling until it can hold up herself. Seems to work ok.

As far as the Rapid Rooters. I top feed till I see roots in the bucket. After that I don't do anything. You want to put the water in the clay pellets a few times a day too. Now... I have a lot of air in my bucket. So I don't have to water them after a day or so because the amount of bubbles is nuts. More air equals more O2.
I also use beneficial bacteria and fungi in my reservoir.

I use GH Rapid Start and Great White. Just watch you Ph. Remember you can put a ton of money into stuff that doesn't really change yields much. And the only way to know is to grow two plants side by side. Have fun and learn lots. Most of all listen to you plants.

I hear ya. I have been using the full Advanced Nutrient line up for about a year. I like it but sometimes I wonder what I could cut out and still get the same quality and yield.
