Indoor Question about air filter.

I have a four inch x twelve inch filter and blower taking air out of my grow room.It's around four months old and you can still smell a slight oder if you go outside by the exhaust vent.Is this normal or should there be no smell at all.Also what are the better brand of filters that work the way supposed to.Thank You

I use a slightly over-size filter for my application and cannot smell anything coming out of my extractor.

I battled with this for a long time...... I have found that Phresh filters as well as Rhino filters work very well but they are pricey (about twice as much as a no name brand). I will say when my girls are in full flower that I don't think there is a filter out there that can eliminate odor 100%. They do work a million times better then my no name filters. :smokebuds:

I have always used Can-filters and all the ecomy line i have used u can refill with new carbon pellets
The last one i used for about 2,5 years before it started to smell.
Current filter is a can lite made out of plastic. Easy to disasemble and refill.
Most filters don't work over 70% RH so if you have a high humidity in yout tent your filter wont't last long

I'm using a Phat 4" filter for over 2 years now. No smell at all, even with real smelly strains like Diesel Ryder.
