Hey guys,

I'm going to be using the entire flora series from gen hydro for my current grow. Their feeding schedule for recirculating hydroponics use says to start with a total ppm of 400-600 for week one and by week three, 1000-1100ppm. This seems like a lot to me... I was thinking that I might need nute levels that high in the peak of flowering but not so early.

Anyways, any of you using this nute system have any advice for me, or can give me a good roundabout starting point to go off?

Bear in mind that schedule is meant for growing photos, not autos. Generally speaking, autos only need about half of what photos do. I'm using their 3 part in Pro Mix, so not the same environment, but usually start at about 1/8 the recommended strength for the first 2 weeks, then slowly up it to 1/4, then 1/2. At 1/2 strength I'm usually in the 1100 - 1200 range but don't hit that point till around week 4 or 5. I've used it on about 7-8 different strains now and only 1, some Dope Seeds Blueberry, has taken a bit more than 1/2 strength without showing signs of over feeding.

Hi Captain D!

I'm just finishing up a DWC auto grow using Flora series GH nutes with additional GH calmag as the only additive. I'm using well water with a starting point of 100 ppm. The first ten days I fed a solution using equal parts Grow, Micro, Bloom, and Calmag mixed in my 100 ppm water to bring it up to around 180ppm total. (doesn't take much!) Then I corrected to pH of 5.7. The plants thrived on this and I crept the level up afterward, watching the plant's reaction and monitoring trends in the ppm/pH readings. Highest I ever got during the run was about 1100/1200 ppm during the peak growth.

I've been very happy with my results using GH Flora series. You can see my results on my Dinafem White Widow thread in Autoflower Pics section.
