Worth it?

For me, it was never about wet/dry weight and never will be. Any weed you can grow and free yourself from the bag man, down the street is the best weed you can get. I have to rep ya for thinking different!! Topping on autos IS a no no for yield though. If you can out do your last weight on this next grow, I would have to say.....either way, more or less...you are growin your own and thats all that really matters!!! Plus, dont forget to have fun doin it!

Thanks for the rep man. I agree. I've been improving my technique and conditions, and learning more and more every day so I'm happy with seeing what works and what doesn't. It's also really fun to push the plants to their limits with lst, bonsai'ing, etc. Nature is capable of a lot. Definitely interesting stuff to play around with. Very therapeutic as well growing and caring for plants. Esp ones that give you bud at the end lmao

:tiphat: exactly......

Peace!

I topped a KVS that I kept in a small 1/2 gal pot. What a nice little plant that turned out to be. Not the best yeild wise but the bud was terrific and the canopy was perfectly even. Looked great but like I said it was for kicks not yeild...K.I.M.

Another thing people should remember is that these techniques can also be used for microgrowing/seed production. Who wants a giant plant full of seeds taking up space that could be filled with a producer of some nice sensimilla. Also pc case growing.

Another thing to consider, is that it makes it possible to (If you have strong shelving) grow two or even three shelves high of plants (pun intended... or punintentional if you will).

so what do you mean by worth it? i responed thinking you ment yeild, but thats not the case. did you have to keep it small because you your grow area? if not i dont see how it was worth it. to me final yeild isnt a factor for me either but im not going to say it was worth topping a TD to get 14gs unless i had like 10 plants fighting for light or something of that nature so its kind of hard for any of us to tell you if its worth is if we dont know what you where after in the first place. to me yield it was not worth it i stand by that but maybe you can tell me how you want me to answer your question. because you giving reason of why to do this and how it can help but your not givin us any insight on how it helped you in your situation. not trying to upset you be its kind of a broad question and it seems like your looking for people to say it was worth it, other than those who say it wasnt.

YEa, no I was originally asking if a regular non topped plant in that pot wouldve done better. I know the strain could have done much better, but as to how much better in the same pot, Im curious.

The better question would be if the lst was worth it (did the training help after it was already topped).

No offense taken tho.

Id do a side by side if you have the room to do so. Its always fun to do personal projects if you have time. It teaches you a lot also.

I "topped" a plant I'm currently growing because I'm a noob and snapped her trying to do some training. I now have what looks like 3 kola sites instead of 1 ... we shall see how yield is affected.

I have Magnums on the go in RDWC which i topped. Just starting week 7 and they are 36 inch tall from the top of the pot and 30 inch wide. 15 main colas growing on each. Trouble is now they have swamped my tent! but should get a big yield.
