Old Reviews Rock Vs. Fox Farms

The wild thing to me is that taken by themselves the FF girls look great, a testament to the grower! Then when you make the comparison... Words fail, that's all. Wow, just wow.

Thank you. That was the idea behind the grow. Rock is one bad ass nute line up! Thanks for having a look!

Yeah, I am interested in some weights on those as well. Do you see any difference in resin formation or anything like that we can't see on the photos? What about density? It looks like one of those are ultra dense compared to the remainder.

That is really what I am seeing more than anything trying different nutrients out. The density in cell walls really is quite different from product to product. I always thought it was due to lighting, which I am sure plays a tremendous role but I am noticing even under the same lighting that the density of the same strain, side by side, can be quite different with different nutrients. I suppose this is due to availability and uptake. The defining difference from product to product isn't so much the NPK ratio as it is exactly what is used to produce those NPK ratios. All N, P and K's aren't the same. As with the micros as well, I am seeing that top quality nutrient producers are adding chelated minerals to their products while the others aren't. This makes a tremendous difference in availability and uptake versus non chelated minerals. It also increases the price 5 fold from my limited understanding. So, even though a product may contain x amount of say magnesium or manganese or iron, the plant may not be able to as easily absorb it compared to a chelated mineral. So much of what gets put in to the soil gets washed out on the next feeding.

Just some random thoughts on a Friday night.

Have you found out the difference between the bloom and resinator? what do they do different as far as results?

Oh also, I noticed that the rock feeding schedule says to continue using the resinator through out the last few weeks what would normally be the cleansing cycle. Do you continue per feeding schedule or cut it out for cleansing?

I'm going to flush the old fashion way.

A4 there is a huge difference in crystal formation. Density is slightly changed but I will not know how much until cure and weight is completed. Good info my brother on the cleated nutes.

THE NPK isn't what makes Rock different, it is the organic inputs that make the difference. There are specific aminos, b-vitamins, organic acids, and Resinator's special ingredient is fermented plant material (certain microbes breaking down specific plants to produce naturally occurring compounds which have a dramatic effect on growth).

Mother nature (in my opinion) knows best, just nudging her along with NPK so the ladies have energy to complete the krebs cycle.

Specifically the difference between bloom and resinator is different aminos, b-vitamins, and the fermented plant material that is in Resinator.

The cost is because the line is super concentrated...If any of you guys have questions, don't hesitate to ask away.

I will post my contact info as long as I get the OK from someone on here, just don't want to step on toes. In the mean time if you guys want to PM with some more questions...feel free.

Awesome info Detroit! Thanks for keeping an eye on this for us!
