Grow Room Room setup input

Hey Gang,

So I'm in the process of purchasing all the items needed to get my grow up and running. This has been an on going battle for over 1month and I'm getting closer to locking everything down.

Medium : Coco/Pert

Here is what's been ordered :

• Tent 2x4x7'
• 300w led light (diy)
• Plenty of seeds! 9 different AF strains
• Remo nutrients

Still deciding :

• 3 or 5gal pots - Originally was looking at 5gal, but seems like a lot of people use the 3gal
• pH meter / TDS meter - Are $30 meters good enough? or do I really need to step it up and get better?
• Inline Fan - Vivosun or Hyper Fan?
• Filter - Read great reviews on Vivosun filter so may just get that.

Think that covers the major items. Appreciate the help!

I can't remember the name of it, But there's a cheaper "silent" inline fan on Amazon. I use one. It's like hydro-something or the other. Full kit for like $90.
I usually use 5 gallon buckets with holes in the bottom... Cheap at home depot. But, I upgraded to 7 gallon felt pots.
I also use the $15 ph pens from Amazon because I tend to randomly drop stuff.

What's the "from the wall" wattage of your LED? What's the spectrum?

I'm with you on dropping stuff, so was just wondering if the "cheap" ones will get the job done. It will indeed save a few bucks compared to the $100 ones i've been eyeing so maybe ill grab one of those.

Look at AC Infinity fans, very quiet and efficient as they use dc motors.

Ended up getting a hyper fan and it's really quiet.

I've purchased about 75% of my setup, and should be finished in a week or so. Wish my seeds would show up, it's been almost 3 weeks.

If your in Canada true north seed bank should be pretty fast and they are reputable.

I purchased from seedsman and still haven't received them so hoping they still come in by end of the year. If not ill be placing a small order from true north. There goes my wish of having my first plant sprout by xmas day...damn you Santa!

Spray bottles, temp gauges, saucers for the pots(go with 3 gallon or 5 gallon depending on how many plants and type of trading you’ll be doing, if any ..... would not suggest plastic buckets but some use with great success, protective glasses, wire and ties to train plants, light meter maybe ...... just a few things I use ..... good luck with your grow bro!

If you go with the cheap ph pen, just get 2 and set one aside... they never fail when your in cruise... they fail when your in the middle of a nightmare and need them...
