Yup, I'm happy with both and feel like the Vipar may be a bit higher quality, like it has on/off switches and the Mars300 doesn't. But where it really counts, light power, they're very comparable. I'd base my choice on $ x watts. Right now, on Amazon, you can get the Vipar (450 W) for $149, or a Mars600 for $159.

I use ebay.uk. Amazon.uk have export restrictions. Yesterday, the Vipar was gone from ebay, ss the seller changed to SunSpec. Today, there is a 300w like I have possible to get from Germany for less than £60.

I am supprised of the efficiency of the Vipar led. If cfl is not almost frying seedlings, they stretch. Led is 1 meter above and no stretch, but nice bushy small plants.
