New Grower RQS Royal Critical & Northern Lights Autoflower LED Grow

The lights w/o lens are great for short grow spaces because you can get them close to the plants and they provide good coverage.

Here is some update at day 26

Despite trying to be moderate with feeding, reduced dose of Hesi TNT besides what is in Plagron Light Mix was too much.

So we have damage on fan leaves and brown tops.

Intersting that plants in pots with additional aeration seem not to feel overfeeding so much.

Very pretty!

Quite good for bad start, yes.

And now we cope with some PH issues. I did not measure PH of "natural" rain water and was sure that collecting it after three days of continuous raining was enough to get rid of acid. What a mistake.

It was 5 (tap water 7) and plants really did not like it. We have got some nutrient lock and so on. I was lucky there was not so much rain and I could not have collected more.

Then they were washed a little bit and seems they improve. At least I do not see any progress of browning and damage.

Do these plants realize what stresses we growers are going through, when they have their own stresses? If they knew, would they make us so much trouble? :crying:

Uh-Oh! I've been using nothing but rain water...and I haven't even thought of PHing it.

:Stones slap:

"...Be right back."

You will be shocked when you do.

As I was.:WTF:

5 and nothing more. While our tap water maintains 7.

I have been curing my plants for some days now and slowly getting rid of nutrition lock out in acidic soil.

Yes, we all think that rain is pure but it is not. Falling water dissolves gases what creates acid in it.

I was misleaded by growers that suggested me no PH control in soil. Also Hesi nutrients I use, claim that they stabilize Ph. Well, they do, but they are helpless when smart guy waters with acid.

If you live in EU, wherever you stay, your rain will be most likely very acidic. And tap water will be most likely just fine, only chlorine needs to be released out.

:smokebuds: High, Im doing 4 auto NL and 4 auto Critical by Female seeds, I will be keeping a watch on your girls, please check my thread out !!

I have started my first AF grow under 340W LED (Blue colour in the pics) with 6 plants, 3 x Royal Critical & 3 x Northern Lights both from Royal Queen Seeds (see picture).
T: 22,6 C, RH : 64%, I run 340 w LED on 70% power so that it takes app.120W. The distance is 80cm.

I have put them on wet towel on sept.17, sept.20 in soil. All came out, NL were little bit lazy and had big issues with removing shells, I helped a little very, very carefully. That is why NL has strange forms of small leaves on the pictures.
I use 18 and 20 L containers with Plagron Light Mix. I use light that has already given this kind of product (see the picture) but I have not tested it in early veg stages. It was involved in flowering times. This buds were made on photo plants that had never had recovered from summer extreme heat and damage during early flowering.

I put germinated seeds into quite dry medium (as it comes from bag, not really dry) and added little tap water with Hesi Root Complex around them every day. Very little water. 3 days ago I watered each with 1-1,5 l water with Hesi Root Complex and Powerzyne both half of the recommended amount.

That was all so far.

And my plants are very, very small. Any idea what could have gone wrong? (See the pictures of them 8 days in soil). The highest and mightiest is 8 cm tall and has 5,8 cm over leaves.

WTF is going on?
