When i water my plants i get run off straight away? I could put say 200ml and its like it just goes right through? Any ideas? Iv only done one grow before but run off wasnt like that and after watering the pots dont feel that heavy? Could it be to the roots havent yet filled out the pots as only 4weeks old?

Soil is plant magic ive used it before but of course these size pots was used when my photo plants was coming to an end. Im wondering is it due to not alot of roots yet? As soon as the water goes in it seems to come out :/

What are the ingredients of your mix?I would give them water than wait an hour and water again, wait again and water again. It seems your m ix will not absorb water for some reason. Some mixes have:smokebuds: a additive that lets the mix absorb better and maybe yours doesn't.

Ive used plant magic soil before and was fine and their nutes. My plants are looking ok aswell keep saying ill update but laptops playing up ill get some pics up tomorrow. Starting to smell abit now and i notice growth in under 24hours its mad

In my greenhouse a plant drank 10 liters per day in summer... soil can get dry very quick !
Maybe your soil is too dry and can't keep a lot of water in one time, because too dry.
If so : put the whole pot in water, wait one hour, get it out and let all excessive water run off.
In the future, if you think there is a suspect run off, water your plant in 3-4 parts : little water first time to get the top soil moist so it can take the next water, 30 min later, more water, and so on.
A good way to know if the soil is too dry is to take your plant in hand every day, lift it, so you'll learn to weigh it and know the normal wight of a moist substrate.

Hi mate, yeah thats how i water my plants by the weight of the pot. Ive started to water a whole lot slower which is abit strange as ive used this soil before and it was fine but doing it slower i get a whole lot less run off so fingers crosses itll all carry on how it has because the girls are looking fine

As the soil dries it contracts and pulls away from the inside of the pot. When you water some just immediately runs down the inside wall of the pot and straight out the bottom. Water slower, a bit at a time, so the soil has time to expand and fill the pot back out. I also like to run my hand around the surface of the soil before I start watering, pushing the soil back out toward the pot wall to fill that gap.
