WoW!
Lots and lots of stuff in this thread, where to start...
Security on the website. Recall just what info we used to sign up. Is there anything that would aid in your identity? I do not think there is anything in mine. Have you posted anything that might give you away? Do you have anything in your profile? It can be compiled and mined up to a point so if you have been around long enough and left enough clues like stores, events, etc that you may have mentioned. That should do it for the site. Use common sense and think ahead about what you post.
Next would be your IP address, to be completely secure you would need a good VPN. With that in place they could not use that to locate you or associate your address with you. I use Air VPN, reliable, I can have 3 concurrent connections, and great speed.
Email, use a good anonymous provider. I use mycolab one of the last few secure ones.
I don't need to cover EXIF, there is a bunch of good accurate info already posted.
If you were to follow the above recommendations on a clean computer, better yet a sandboxed VM, you will be as close to secure as you can reasonably get. Key word reasonably.
I am legal in my state, I try to comply with the laws. I use the security I mention as a matter of course when using the internet. I don't use it specifically to hide my canna activities. It is always good to act with a reasonable amount of paranoia. Being a young adult in the Nixon era I recall strongly the phrase "Even if you are not paranoid, it doesn't mean they are not going to get you" Or something like that!
Again common sense would dictate that, at least in the US, most LEO's are not out to get us, the small grower. Unless of course you are selling it illegally too. That would put you on their radar. BUT just because they aren't, that is not an excuse to be careless either. As long as there are funds available to law enforcement to go after canna activity, they will do just that. You might be surprised to learn how much there is too.
On that subject, I have been trying to resist the urge to join the conversation, failed!! Need to remember that arresting folks for doing something on the books as illegal is a LEO's job. They do it for a living. They don't do it for some perverse need to bust your balls as it were. Well maybe some do, ya as a matter of fact some really do and get off on it. But I am willing to say that the percentage of bad apples is similar to any other profession. Think about it. Regardless of right or wrong in the big picture if you are breaking the law and get caught, the one catching you is not responsible, you are! Sucks but it's true. Instead of calling names get out and change the law!! OK now I am done and off the soapbox, thanks for listening!!
