Hey guys, Im going outdoors again this year. This year things will be different, im going 100% organic, last year was close, but no cigar. Im using a simple supersoil blend of my own. This is comprised of peat moss, mushroom compost, home ground feed (small amount of alfa hay, powdered corn kernel and cobs, and powdered molasses with trace minerals), crushed oyster shells (Credit to Nelson he always used these), compressed alfalfa pellets (horse feed), sand, lime, perlite, and bio tone organic amendments (I still haven't chose these)
The research I have done says that the ground feed has sufficient n-p-k just a little lacking in the K

These bean are being started inside. 8 auto duck foots and two dragon crosses. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1397001778.347133.jpg
They were started in paper towel method about 22 hrs ago on top of a game console to keep them warm.

Thanks for joining me this ride!

Wish you all the success you can possibly handle. I've ordered some of the female stone dragons. I can't wait to try them out this summer outside.

Thanks! I cant wait to for this outdoor run it should be fun. You really cant go wrong with a dragon Kelpie, good luck to you!

Im having germination issues, only one has cracked open. With phd water and paper towel method on top of a game console for warmth. Ive never really had issues before.

Im really having germ issues, so I dried the beans out and no they are currently sitting in a shot glass full of water.

That sucks man. I'll let you know if I have any problems. But if they don't germinate - it's the breeders first batch to rcmc as I understand so I would definately email them to tell that that you've experienced a problem with them. And if others do the same - should they encounter difficulties, maybe then something can be done to make things right for you.

That's if they are the feminized stone dragons....I can't comment about the other dragon types...

Sorry Kelpie I forgot to mention these are Stitches Auto Duck Foots..

maybe if you PM stitch directly he may be able to help you bro, i hope everything works out, im curious to see a ducks foot grow

ASo sorry to hear Moons :( germ :karma Cloud: coming your way... And if I'm not mistaken you brought a ton of these eh? Having never seen anything at all on this strain I'm guessing it's brand new and possibly the seeds were just recently harvested? I know a lot of times newer fresher seeds need to no soak and actually I've seen it's been a hindrance in germing new beans.., I've NEVER had any issue pre potting up a pot of soil... Ph water it with some benies and than leave on warm surface or heat mat 24hts than put bean straight to soil, cover with Saran Wrap, pop a hole in the Saran Wrap, cover with plastic grocery bag, than paper bag over it, leave for two or three days without checking on it, if nothing after that mist the pot re-cover and check again in 12-24hrs... Never had a seed fail me this way even popping old ass seeds this way with 100%.

sometimes when they are fresh the soak in the water actually "drowns" the embryo... Also many times by putting the cup on the cable box I was noticing the water was getting awfully warm.... Which I don't think was good... Always had more problems than success pre-soaking a bean:.. Best of luck to you and we would love to see any pics at all... Be curious how strong the duckfoot trait is with these....

Well all the news was bad, but not anymore 7 dragons popped and 2! Duck foots. They are just coming out of the soil. Im pretty sure my electronics box got too hot (even though I had multiple layers of insulation...
Yes Yoda I still do have about 6-8 auto duckfoots left, so not too devastating, just disappointed.
