I wouldn't say it has a problem ,since the true leaves were the size of dots yesterday and the cotyledons weren't open.
Strain is Berry Ryder.

It didn't shed its skin however ,I had to gently pull it out myself. The cotyledons didn't "turn" yellow ,they were already like so when I pulled the skin.

The stem is reddish ,dunno if that is normal or a problem.
As long as the leaves grow ,this means it's fine right?

watered with PH'd water ,6.5

What do you think?

This is an interesting situation. I'd think the plant will carry on and keep growing and not be an issue. Interesting though !

How did you germ by the way? Plant into your mix, presoak, paper towel...? Maybe something happened along the way there. Was the water ph'd to 6.5 during the germ process as well?

I'm betting she'll grow fine anyway, let us know

Most likely, your ph in the soil is out of whack. Next time you water at 6.5, run enough through to collect enough to get a reading of the runoff would be ideal, then let us know what that reading is!

Righteous! What's in that soil mix by the wya?

Soil is bio bizz light mix ,on the bag it says a ph of 6.8 ,water ph was at 6.5 ,germinated in a cup until it sunked and cracked

She is still doing fine ,the cotyledons seemed to have gained a bit of green.....maybe I worried for nothing.

Maybe I didn't plant deep enough ,so when it broke soil it hadn't developed her cotyledons properly ,given that it still had its white shell.

....:smoking: seeds are a bit of a gamble sometimes-- not all are 'equal", and there's no telling until they get going,... the whole physiological process of it all is very complex, so small wonder there's a hiccup on occasion... cotyl's are basically storage tanks for vital nute's and energy, to get the seedling off to a sufficient start while it's forming up the first true leaves... chlorophyll development in the cotyl's can be a bit slow sometimes, or uneven, with no real ill effect; more relevant is how the first leaves color up and form! And those look spot on,... now that said, you're in a mix that's very lightly charged with nutrients, so you'll need to start feeding sooner, like in a week, with very mild/dilute stuff, to ease her into it and see how she responds,... what nute' brand do you plan to use?

Actually ,the pot contains around 2 gallons of soil. BioBizz All-Mix ,for the most part........

I usually dig a hole (a handful of dirt) in the All Mix, which I fill with Light Mix ,and plant the seed.

I was told that All Mix can be too strong for seedlings.......so the seed starts its life in the Light Mix ,then ,as the roots develop ,they will eventually get to the All Mix......hope that makes sense.

I did that for my past grows ,never had any problems.

The seedling has regained the green in the cotyledons ,only their very tips are still slightly yellow. The second set of true leaves is emerging .......all is good now....;)

As for nutes ,I usually water with aquarium water (fish and shrimp poo = nitrates) ,then when flowering settles in I use Terra Bloom (N-P-K = 3-1-3) and an additive with PK 13-14 from the same brand .

I don't use full dosage on the label of course ,I'd rather not push things and burn the plant.

I never experienced any deficiencies using this method ,and this is my 4th grow.

Wouldn't worry about anything as long as the leaves look good. That's your first set of true leaves coming in and those are better indicators of issues.

The cotes die eventually anyway once the energy is used to get the seedling going, sometimes it happens sooner rather than later.

Good luck!
