Self watering Tray2Grow experiment 👀

We’re on day 8 of our grow and all is well. I had a chuckle when she was all relieved to see her first sprout haha I told her I could relate Light schedule changed to 24/0 for heat control. Showed them here in the dark how little light comes through and all good. Their place is 100 years old with plaster and no insulation so she won’t bother growing in the summertime.

On another note, because she’s happy with a smallish plant that won’t be squeezing out of a 3x3 we’re going with less EC and therefore less DLI. Starting at sprout my “big plant” recipe uses ro water with EC 2.0 DLI 30ish and “small plant” uses tap water with EC 1.8 (but my tap alone is 0.6). Both ways we feed daily from day 1. For comparison, here’s her 8 day old followed by a 9 day old on the big boy diet.

Nice to see you’re still growing and have room for your drums bro!
I taught my daughter how to grow too. She asked me to teach her back in 2020 during covid and it was a good way for us to bond. Miss those days!

Day 49 for her plant and she’s been having a blast. In love with the autopot, she’ll never switch she says lmao. She doesn’t want to grow real big plants and plans to top. I told her this Chemmy powers won’t get big but she wanted to try it out anyways. She decided after 5 and let her go with no training. Had a real nice defol about 5 days ago and filled in quick, time for round 2. So she’s not tall but growing very nicely

We moved her tent to outside under the patio cover and with some MORE rearranging I was able to squeeze a 4x4 where her tent was haha. I have 4 that all sprouted this morning that will be grown on the trays. Since I’m in a smaller tent I’m going with 4 smallish plants all night owl, 2 91 grapes and 2 chemmy powers (we like indica).

Great to see you back at it man! You're the only one I've seen with those mats. Cool setup for sure. Plus you grow nice ass plants.
