Hey everyone. I have 3 critical purples from growers choice seeds going. 2 look really good, but one is looking really weird. I' not sure what' wrong because all of my other seedlings are doing well. Humidity is 60-80% and temperature is 70-80 degrees. Not sure if this is a deficiency or stress. It's in a 5 gallon bag with happy frog on top and ocean forest in the bottom half. Watering with r/o. The lighting is 2 mars hydro 300s. Thank you for your help.

How close are your lights? Are you watering enough to get entire pot moist?

The lights are about 2.5 feet away. I'm not keeping the entire pot moist, just in a circle around the seeds. All of my other seeds are getting the same treatment and are healthy.

Have you got a fan blowing on it?

Where are you taking your humidity reading? Like, where in the tent? Is it sat on your soil?

I ask as that looks like humidity or wind stress to me mate. Not a pro though so probably wrong.

At this stage the tap root is going down pretty fast and if the soil is dry towards the bottom this might cause it,give her a full watering and see if that helps.

Yeah I have an oscillating fan blowing. I moved the plant away from it though. It might have been too close. I have my hygrometer hanging from the roof of the tent on a string. The humidity was getting pretty high, almost reaching 80%, so I lowered it to the 60% range.

Wind stress is my guess. They don't need breeze at that age mate. Blow the fan across the top of them rather than on them. If the air above them is replaced so will the air around them be replaced, so its all good. See if no wind makes a difference.

How old is it? How much are you watering? Not convinced that is under watering symptoms personally. Your watering technique sounds good at this stage. They need sod all. A litre to 1.5 litres in first two weeks is plenty. 100ml every other day or so and then every day.

It's 2 weeks old today and definitely badly stunted. 1/3 the size of my other two. I got rid of the oscillating fan and put a smaller one in there. I also lowered the humidity to 60%. I did this 2 days ago and still no recovery. I'm watering probably around .25 to .5 of a liter every two days, or whenever the soil dries out pretty good.
