Mephisto Genetics Skylar White & Creme de la Chem [1st Grow Ever]

I think I have a little bit of nutrient burn on the Skylar, based on the slight yellowing of the tips in this photo. I also noticed some of the older leaves have a very slight yellow on the tip, and in some cases on the leaf itself - like one tiny spot randomly on a leaf.

I have some CalMag, but not sure it’s a deficiency of either of those. Any advice?

If your using led lights it would be wise to put some cal mag in your next feeding to avoid cal mag def.. usually comes at this point in flowering. And when u mix in cal mag mix in water first before any other nutrients added

Hi buddy. You need to get those smart pots elevated. The bottom of the soil is staying most because it isn't elevated enough. Made the same mistake years ago with my first grow and smart pots. Make sure the bottoms of the smart pots can breath until you get exact water uptake nailed down. Add some cal mag at 1/4 strength to get rid of those white tips. Awesome job on your first run.

Thank you both, unfortunately I smoked before I tended to the Skylar and fed it plain water without mixing the calmag in [emoji19] I had meant to feed her a plain water without nutrients this watering but meant to add calmag.

Anyway, it’s probably a good time to remind that I haven’t been ph-ing my tap water. Local water Dept records have it around 7.5, which is probably explaining some of the minor problems I’m having (or adding to). I have ph up and ph down with a digital pen coming tomorrow, so by next watering I should have a perfect mix. I think I’m going to start a 3rd plant as well, fixing all the things I noticed the first time.

Also in regards to air underneath the pots, I did get them lifted back around week 2. I have them in plastic trays for drainage and lifted with 2 bar-style popcorn trays each [emoji23]

Day 32

Skylar is looking good, growing taller and the bud sites are getting thicker. CDLC is starting to catch up, preflower has started on the main stem’s nodes but not really much beyond that. They are getting clearly defined so I will give it tiger bloom on the next feeding when I resume feeding the Skylar as well. I gave a water/grow big/cal mag feeding to CDLC last night.

I also just procured some phUp and phDown with a digital pen, so moving forward I should be tight with water.

Looking great slice. Love the thin sativa leaves on skylar. Looks like you will have a good indica based and sativa based come harvest time. Best of both worlds!

Thank you! Hey, any cause for concern on these bud site leaves? The color change, which I’m noticing was present in the last pics too, was really prominent tonight and has me a little worried. Other than the color change, the Skylar looks beautiful and is budding up nicely. Let me know what y’all think:

Here is another look with the light turned off so it’s easier to see the true color.

Looking into different issues it looks like it could be a zinc deficiency? Some of the new leaves are not elongated at all on only one side, and others are curled just a bit.

Am I correct that if this is a zinc def, ensuring a proper ph would fix it? Because my last feed on Skylar definitely had a 6.6 ph but that was the first time I tested for ph.

How close is your light? My immediate reaction was the light is too close, is this just happening at the top of the plant?

At the top cola the light was probably within 8-9inches. I moved it up about 3.5 inches last night because I was wondering if it was the light as well. It’s not just happening at the top of the plant though, it’s happening on the top-most (ie, new) leaves at the bud sites.
