So can anybody tell me what i should mix my FFoF soil with when i prepare a pot for a germinated auto seed?

i've heard i could just flush the top layer but whats the safest route i can take and simplistic to avoid hurting or stunting my auto?

i already have perlite but if there is anything else i should grab on the cheap side of things to mix with fox farm ocean forest to promote healthy plants and efficient growth rates i'd appreciate the help?

also im not working with any bottled nutes as of right now but i plan on getting the fox farm trio at local store.

i'll be posting pictures of grow room hopefully in better detail( been using phone which sucks so im going to try alienware webcam and see what i get) later today if i remember lol.

Hey F.Snow ...I've been using Fox Farms soil and nutes as well. What I do is mix 1/2 ocean forest with 1/2 light warrior or happy frog depending what my grow store has in stock...seems to cool the ocean forest off enough..there should be plenty of what your babys need nute wise in your soil mix for a good 2 weeks or so...hope this helps..Boogie...:smoke:

It actually does quite a bit lol

does mixing perlite into fox farms do anything beneficial?

so does something like 40% FFoF 30% light warrior or happy frog and 30 % perlite in a 3 gallon pot sound like a safe plan when starting a seed?

50/50 on the Mixof Light Warrior An Ocean.Forrest

30% perlite is what ive heard alot from More established growers and others whom.grown with this

ok and another thing...

with this type of mix do i need to flush the soil before sticking the seed into it?

No flush needed. Just water the area you plan to sow in and put her a 1/4 inch down and wait!

P.s. I use FFOF and have had awesome results with 2 parts MG seed starter, 1 part FFOF. Well documented grows to show the results on many strains.

Thats great to know.

because sadly my very first grow which has been going for about 3 weeks now is not going so well.

she isnt even a foot tall and only started 3rd set of 5 finger leaves T_T that mixed with yellow/wilty leaves has me thinking its not long now lol.

from what i can tell she is getting nute overkill from soil (no mix and no flush with seed planted straight in it)

first week and a half i had lights an inch and a hlaf away not 3+.

also deprived of water due to being afriad of "over watering"

also gave small dose of superthrive/water mix start of week two...

still looks pretty bad...

should i make another superthrive/water mix and try to feed her again next watering with it to try and turn her around or is this late in the game just a no go?

U. have Pictures

I have heard of doing this Mix the OF/LW. MIX that then make a.hole.in the middle
If ur Using 3Gal bottom.4 inches do straight OF then Usue ur blend till the top.
Insert a smaller bucket and take out about 1/2 gal dump ur LW IN THAT space and plant seedling
THIS is kinda a supersoil technique if u Want to give that a go

U dont have to wateralot when seedling
Maybe 1 quart of perfectly ph aerated water does well once a week till the weeks 4 or more
U can foliar feed them small minor doses until flowering

Easier done and keep them.Studly
