Accurate8 indicates 6.1

Runoff test with 6.5 ph water is 6.5

Is this normal to be +/- .4 with the Accurate8 ?

I tested the soil with my accurate8 tester and it reads 6.1

I did a runoff test with 6.5 water, the runoff tested with digital ph tester tested at 6.5

A couple of possibilities...

Both meters could be slightly out

The true soil pH might be different from the solution pH. They are not really directly comparable measurements.

I reported your post so we will get more input so just hold on for awhile, thanks.

whats your soil?? if your A8 is working and you believe it to be accurate, Id start looking at turning your rings with some lime to buffer it up a little n see where your at.water aint gonna help you at this point.short of a flat out soak but if your running water PH tests im betting your soil is purty wet too.which while you rsoil is freshly wet with trace mins n stuffs it'll lower your PH just from sheer temp drop alone not counting a dozen other variables.

I calibrated my digital meter before the test.

I have a tub of TLO that has been composting since March.
I have been monitoring the ph with my A8 the whole time, adding lime and shells to bring the ph up.
I was wondering what a runoff test would show. I have some conflicting results so I was hoping that someone could shed some light it.
