Extraction Solventless wax GOB method

cruising around the web the last few weeks has turned up the GOB method of using dry ice hash and RO water to make wax....has anybody heard of or tried this method ??? Since I will be running some eth extracts today I'll give it a try and let you all know how it turns out...just a forethought tho,how is the plant "oils" aka trichomes mix( or not) with the water ??? Any thoughts ... @pop22 maybe ??

is this like doing a run with bubblebags but you dont need the ice to knock trichs off buds cause you starting with trichs and some plant matter? or something different ? no.

Well I would post the link but I don't think I'm supposed to...any way ,you start with DIH ,then put it in the blender with RO water,filter it through a screen or coffee filter then purge the water at no more than 140F till 80/90% of the water is gone,then put in fridge for 45 minutes,,I saw a written tutorial but you tube prolly has something..it's supposed to make a full melt wax product,but could prolly be taken to shatter consistency ..I just done a search for "how to turn kief to wax" and some links came up to other forums,this is why I don't think I should post them here,not sure...this pretty much explains the process but not everything like the weights /measurements...

I will give it a go since I have some 73 mic DIH already,I'll double boil/purge the water like it says,maybe the last step of putting into the fridge will separate the oils from any remaining water .I was just curious if any members have tried it and what the results were like

ahh gotcha now,its not the whats trapped in the filters/screens.its the dissolved parts your after.il do i lil searchin.

Okay I'm back here's the starting material.all self explanatory ,I used two tablespoons by volume not weight,and this was 73 mic auto ultimate

added 1/2 cup of RO water from the "mart" store

pit in blender for about 1 minute and made it frothy

filtered it thru a metal mesh type coffee filter,not sure what the mic is of this but it did leave some "silt" at the bottom of the Pyrex ,so

I used the paper coffee filters to clean as much sediment out as I could,with 1/2 cup water I used 4 filters cause they kept clogging up

i couldn't get the stove set right so I went back to the double boiler method,one good thing about this method is that it can be done indoors because there are no flammable liquids or fumes,also everything that is left is reclaimed,not sure how much good stuff is left in it but it is now like a (prolly) low grade bubble hash,,,it is currently purging of the water,so more to follow soon,,,I will also update the eth extract thread as that is currently in progress...peace...edit:I forgot to include info on the last pic,this is after the paper filtering,it looks a bit dark/muddy but this is the first time I have used this method..if I was running this every weekend I wouldn't have to adjust from what I am used to and it kinda slowed me down a bit.I will say that no matter what method a person uses,take your time,be as safe as you can,and don't rush things cause that will only cause frustration .

Okay I forgot to add that the temp should not be taken above 140 F this is why I went with the double boiler method ....following the directions I found ,it said to evap about 80-90% of the water and put it in the fridge for about 45 minutes,,this is the point that I'm at,it's in the fridge,,the pics show,well I'm not sure,but this is what's left at this point,there seems to be something missing from the directions cause I'm assuming that the oils will settle and stick to the bottom and I will dump the water off,let it dry and scrape it,more update soon but here's a pic of it going into the fridge( one with flash,one without)
