Mephisto Genetics Sour Crinkle Two Ways

Which dehum.do you have?

It's an Ecoair DD122fw - on loan from Mrs. Sage who normally uses it for clothes drying. Uses a fair bit of power, more than everything else in my tent, and raises the temp by five degress (was low at 22 anyway so worked out well) but it has dropped the humidity from 77% to 45% with ease. Definitly worth it.

Day 40.

Unzipping the tent is getting fun, they're starting to give off a fragrance which I can only describe as a distinct chemical hit with some really sour grape and citrus floating just underneath. Cannot wait to try these... And they're the stickiest plants I've grown so far by a long margin, I just tried to pluck a few leaves and my hands came out absolutely coated in resin, my fingers are sticking to the keyboard! The fourth SC which was germed a week later than the others continues to go mad, she's now twice the height of all her older siblings, I really need a tent just for her...

Yeh, I know what you mean about gumming up the keyboard after a visit with the Sour Crinkles. My 3 are fairly short, but the stickiest things I've every grown. :pass:

Short but sticky:smoking:

Day 33.

I've learnt something valuable this grow, my water supply is extremely hard and has high levels of Calcium but almost no Magnesium at all! I don't know why I'd never checked the local water board's website before, but I'm glad I did. Will make things easier next round, no more Cal-mag, just Mag.

Any idea how many orders of magnitude higher the calcium was? I just checked my city water report and in mg/liter calcium is avg 60 and mg is 20. Not sure if that is enough of a difference to make me not use cal/mag. What do you think?

266ppm Calcium and only 5ppm Magnesium! From what I've been able to see, though there's not much info on this, the ideal Cal to Mag ratio is between 3:1 to 2:1. So no more Calmag, Canna Mono Magnesium from here on out. Your case doesn't seem so extreme so you'll probably be fine.

So....first attempt at journaling not so successful! Several things happened and I had to be away from the grow. But, thanks to Blumats and two large resevoirs, I was able to keep them alive and have now taken all four Sour Crinkles down. I'm aiming to get some more photos up in the next week or so but wanted to show off one of them in particular. Three of them were exactly the same shape and growth, very short with dense buds, and are by far the frostiest I've ever seen, a few sugar leaves steeped in milk had me and Mrs Sage giggling like schoolkids.

The fourth was completely different, grew to twice their size and had a much more open structure and by the time I got back to the grow had put on some amazing autumn colors. She also reeks, the best I can describe it is artificial apricots and vanilla, cannot wait to sample her.
