South Syder
Quack Master!
Howdy boys and girls,
Must say -- you guys are a lively bunch! Been learning heaps here -- and I know I've been quiet but I don't multitask. I shut up and learn, then I pipe up. Time to pipe up. You've inspired me to wet some seeds; gonna give this LED caper a go. Haven't done this in a long time. Hope I'm not too rusty. Hope I don't embarrass myself! You'll have to be patient with me while I figure this uploading and managing the thread trick, I'm a computer moron! Anyhow...
Some data: Using one of those 150W green eBay things (I know it's cheap but I like to start cheap and simple and when I get the hang, then I spend money. Really want one of those GN units!) This thing has Grow and Bloom switches (bloom simply turns on some more reds) and a hell of a loud fan! Still, let's see what happens. Using AutoPot pots (they have an automatic gravity feed valve that controls wet and dry to the pots). They are definitely a passive system and low maintenance (not in any mood for aeroponics or dwc again just yet). It's a small tent, maybe enough for four small plants.
The plant in the pic is an Auto Amnesia. Using my company's own brand of nutes with a tweak for the issues I expect to confront with LED. Plant is exactly seven days from spouting. Waiting on some more to pop. Using coco with perlite and very mild nutes at this stage.
Wish me luck people. Any feedback is gratefully accepted. Not so old a dog I can't learn new tricks--
