New Grower South Syder's First Grow In Seventeen Years (LEDs and Autos no less!)

Howdy Folks,

Well, the little -- and I mean little -- Amnesia is covered in brown pistils. I suspect it was pollinated by my bud's photo Chronic pollen -- hell, I hope it was pollinated by the Chronic, I could use the beans! Gonna leave it go a few more weeks if it don't keel over first, LoL.

The little Think different is ten days old in this pic and just had a bath. I'm letting her dry out to put down roots but, tell ya'll what -- I'm busting to push the little gal. Should be driving her hard next week.

The rest of that stuff is my bro's med photo strains, and some Seedsman Northern Lights photo seedlings -- which the forums reckon are total dogs but, hey, I got six out of six germinated (pics don't show the rest) and only one way to know if the strain is any good -- grow it! right? Tell ya what though, these little photo buggers are rocketing! Almost caught the TD at just five days old???! Figure that.....

Hey people,

Man I'm bummed! Another order lost in the system. "Bad Luck" Can't catch a break! Seedbank says I should hang tight till end of Jan, maybe delayed because of Xmas crush or something.....

Might have to resort to wetting my bud's Sea Of Seeds beans, but he reckons that's a waste of time: ordered a mess of 'em last year from various breeders, all through SOS, just before they went offline and changed their website and stock lists -- and his germ rates were less than a fifth, regardless of breeder. His theory is maybe packages were x-rayed during delivery or something...otherwise SOS were selling very old stuff. Don't wanna believe that, so I'll go with his x-ray theory. But, even if that's the case, do x-rays kill beans? Dunno. Gonna stick what he has left in water and see.....

Little Amnesia is ready to come down. This thing is so tiny, maybe I'll get a few blunts outta it. Don't think any beans it's cooking will have had time to mature. Can't wait any longer, it's getting chloritic and definitely past it, so I'll nip her tonight.

My TD seemed to go dormant for about eight days while I dried her out. She's at seventeen days in that pic and the leaves at the top shot out in last day when I began feeding her again. Confused. These autos are something to get used to, huh? Anyhow, she's healthy, but, again, small, so I'm gonna start pushing her. Hope she ain't stunted. If she's a late pheno I may have time to kick her back into gear. Heck, those Seedsman NL photos you see in the rest of the cab (six outta six germed, from Attitude, not SOS) are catching it and they're just nine days from sprout...??

Like I said: can't catch a break...

Will miracles never cease??! Good old Herbies -- got me some beans today! Thanks for the tip guys. Got some Diesel Ryders and Onyx regulars -- gonna make some beans with any luck (don't wanna go through that stress again! LOL). I'll wet 'em tomorrow and post pics when they sprout.

That Think Different, wow, amazing genetics! Reckon she woulda' put down mad roots without the bloody autopot dry cycle -- just made her go dormant somehow. Gave her a drink after that week and she kicked. Noticed signs of underfeeding on old leaves so began pushing her and she's just loving it! She's at day 25 now and looks like most here do at around day 16 but she making up ground and, 0.7 gallon pot notwithstanding, reckon she may catch up near enough. Up to 1.8 EC and not even any tip burn. Sure, I'm on the edge here but that's how I learn.

Harvested that little Amnesia five days ago, can't wait to taste it. Got pics -- will post in a few days when I quit work for the holidays.

Whoo Hoo!! That's great news. I am glad to hear the shipment arrived!
That Think Different sound marvelous, lot's of folks have been writing good things about them, I'll have to check them out. Well amongst the other have million varieties that is!!!

Howdy,

Okay, this is the little Amnesia kinda trimmed and just before cut. She took around 59 days from go to woe and this little bud was the result. She was sure sensitive to nutes and was a learning curve for me with autos. Thought I'd pollinated her early by mistake but it turned out to be simple premature dieback. Let her go longer than I would have thinking she's cooking me some beans, but nope, nothing.

She smokes mellow, nothing intense, but nice earthy taste.

Gonna close off this thread here and start a new one for the Think Different sharing her tent.
