Missed your thread first time round, thanks to linking up to it will keep a eye on it now to see what people recommend as you are right DCs is a bit old now but still seems a solid base. I only use grow, bloom, root juice and algamic and base the amounts from DCs guide for each week along with the recommended dose for my brand of calmg and have not had a def problem yet, but will be interesting to see what works for others as there always seems to be more than one working method when i comes to growing Canna.

Small Pot Day 15

Starting to step up a gear now and put on some good size considering her container, noticed her first couple of pistils when feeding this morning so showing sex @ day 15.

Feed = 500ml mix, 1ml/L grow + 1ml/L algamic (pot starting to get very dry 3 days after feed, so am going to have to up feeds to 500ml every 2 days)

Height = 7.5cm (3in)

Big Pot Day 24

Starting to stretch a bit now and open up the lower budsites a bit more, trimmed off a couple of leaves that got damaged by tucking and were blocking some light, but thats about it with the training now and she gonna be left to do her own thing, am really loving her structure and speed just hoping now she buds up nice, she is showing 3 clear tops now that have about 1cm difference in height between them, and 3-4 nice side branches that should get half decent light.

Feed = 1L mix, 2ml/L grow + 2ml/L algamic (going to be upping her feeds also to 1L every 2 days with calmg every other feed)

Height = 23cm (9in)

CW Day 24

Small, stretched, skinny, pale but alive lol, so yeah all good. She getting the extra privilege of her own feeds, as the left overs from her big sis are non existent now and well i got a soft spot for her. Getting a couple of days of sun at a time at the moment followed by a couple of cloudy days, so in a constant struggle for light at the moment.

Feed = 500ml mix, 1ml/L grow + 1ml/L algamic + 1ml/L calmg (will just feed her if and when needed with whatever i think she needs)

Height = 11.5cm (4.5in)

Thats all for now, will start conditioning the small pot to the sun if and when we get it and should have all three with full days in direct sunlight by next week, with the box making up a 20/4 lightcycle for big and small pot.

Small Pot Day 19

Bushing up a little bit more now, with slow but steady vertical growth. Going by the other two girls i would say she is going to start her stretch in about a week.

Day 17 Feed = 1L mix, grow 1ml/L + algamic 1ml/L + calmg 0.5ml/L
Day 19 Feed = 500ml mix, grow 1ml/L + algamic 1ml/L

Day 17 Height = 9cm (3.5in)
Day 19 Height = 11cm (4.5in)

Big Pot Day 28

Would say she is well into her preflower stretch now putting on about 2cm (just under 1in) per day and getting a little frosty on the calyxes from the first preflowers and some smaller leaves, today is her last feed skipping out the calmg and will be adding it to every feed from now on as she goes into flower, will be tracking the height over the next week or so and when i see it is slowing will put a couple of liters of plain water through and switch to flower feed schedule.

Day 26 Feed = 1L mix, grow 2ml/L + algamic 2ml/L + calmg 1ml/L
Day 28 Feed = 1L mix, grow 2ml/L + algamic 2ml/L

Day 26 Height = 28cm (11in)
Day 28 Height = 32cm (12.5in)

CW Day 28

Well she is still with us, she is currently gagging for some light as we have had a raining patch and she has only gotten about 3 hours direct sun in the past 4 days, but all things considering she is looking healthy enough if not slightly pale and skinny, but starting to throw out a few pistils now and continues to stretch (think i have broken my record for node spacing on this one, with the biggest gap at 5cm lol)

Day 28 Feed = 500ml mix, grow 2ml/L + algamic 2ml/L + 1ml/L calmg

Day 26 Height = 13cm (5in)
Day 28 Height = 15cm (6n)

The two LED bulbs have arrived now and are putting out a noticable difference in light and heat to the CFLs, the heatsink keeps the bulb casing nice and cool and the only heat is coming from the light diodes but nothing close to what a 11w CFL puts out, but still enough to burn a leaf tip if it touches.

Thanks, yeah they seem pretty good have not noticed any ill effects from them so far and the light they let off is a hell of a improvement and they are alot cooler and lighter than a bigger CFL, only been in there two days so far so we will see.

Noticed a bit of droop on some leaf tips but that was before i changed the lights over and is about the same time as Hairy, Trapper and Margahooja mentioned it in thier grows and the leaves at top growth are praying for the lights so am not sweating it.

LookingLooking fab pal, big pot looks the same as my leefy girl leeloo, now ime adding this just to see if anyone whishes to comment anything to stem my curiosity, but a grower called hazy added bloom at ten days after sex shown and if you look at mephistos recent sog grow he added bloom roughly the same time frame ,so that would make day 25_28 Both with biobizz nutes, I have found the last week that alg/mic as a foilar spray is a life saver so when they healthy got to be better,just a observation pal hit them perhaps twice with the alg/mic

Nice healthy looking plants Spanglish. I can't explain that droopy thing, but it's never been a negative factor. I swear my Walter White knew when lights out was coming and went droopy until they came back on. Some of the others just did it. I haven't had one disappointing Mephisto grow. Onward and upward!

Yeah mate i am real happy with them so far, especialy the big girl. Interesting point about the bloom would like to find out the reasons behind it and if it would just make them finish earlier or still let you get the most out of them. Yeah i have noticed the algamic seems to give the plants a real vitality boost, seems to make the leaves so much greener and stronger than previous grows without it, almost seems to reduce shock also when it comes to damage and trimming.

Its a strange one but as you say dont affect growth at all, would be interesting to log the grows it has happened in and see if there is a genetic link somewhere. Is almost like they are chilling out a bit before the go for it in flower, seems to be just as they are creating some frost so reckon they tasting a bit of that thc for themselves lol.
