Newb Lesson Learned

I raised the T5 to check on the plants got called away for 3 min and one of my hanging cfl rotated in contact with and burned a leaf.
I spritzed her but damage done. dont even want to look till tomorrow.

And those hanging CFLs were stunting Bubbles vertical growth, altho I raised the overhead light the side light created a dome of light and sucker grew into a tight little dome. 2 newb lessons fer 1

Learning from your mistakes, is the best experience you can receive.:dance: Luckily that one burnt leaf shouldnt affect the plant much, if at all.:smokebuds:

The 2 Plants I have going germed and took off. My last 3 attempts at starting a 3rd have failed. I started with 10 fem autos. 5 beans left. Im afraid to germ a 3rd but I think my space can handle 3 gotta stagger height for lighting at different stages what to do. I love this hobby. Smoking Pot isnt addictive growwing it is!

How did you F/U so that I may learn

Mistake #1, used coco fiber without a starting solution. It's more like rockwool than soil since it has no nutes.
Mistake #2, relied on touch to gauge temperature and I'm pretty sure I got them over 100 degrees at one point.

Next time I'm using Hydrofarm Jump Starters so I don't have to die of anxiety. I'm practicing with some cherry tomato seeds.

UPDATES..... A pic of what my Two failed starters looked like, They did this and stopped?


Instead of highliting the ladies I'm keeping them in the background to show you my space. I just hooked up a Phresh carbon filter so the room is done. It is the back half of a closet I can kill the fans and conceal it in 2 min. I decided to grow when I learned 5 plants or less is a misdameanor with new changes on the way, a dad who who needs the pain relief and friends battling the big C. I enjoy it myself and prices are ridicoulous. Autos seemed a great way to learn. I have legal growing Cali caregivers in my family blah blah blah we al have our own reasons.



1 pic closed up, 2nd pic hinged drop front to peak in, 3rd front panel removed for access, Back wall is removable with a couple screws fan and filter are in and venting to attic space.

Comments welcome. though the budget is done so I'm riding this one out. I know I could have done a better job on the walls.

They feed amazing but I haven't used the entire package
I'm giving the GREEN FIELDS SOIL the shot next but I'm gonna blend it down with regular roots or promix

How's ur ph also holding up on the soil ....i didn't really have issues for it needing to be amended it held quite easily at 6.5 about 3 weeks in .....have u also seen the bag feed meals they make great for ammending the soil for more grows

Roots Original Soil and Roots Grow and Bloom nutes, I knew of Roots but the guy at the hydro really liked them. And I was a little put off by this and that. So far so good :thumbs:

PH 6.9 in 6.2 out. just got a hanna checker to be more accurate.

Been pretty smooth so far (knocking on wood) Keepin it simple with my ghetto grow.

I had to add some dolomite lime mine was a lol low it was closer to 5.8 soil so it took 1tbls to get me straight then it was smooth sailing ...i just fed a lol too much but overall it was somewhat successful the flavors come out really good ...im about to drop some babies in dirt they all sank to the bottom of their pool .
Fine work sir ghetto or not .....i have almost the same setup in a closet ....bht u have me some ideas as to doors ...i been using a sheet to keep the light contained so it wasn't 100% ...
