I started an RQS photoperiod to gift to a friend to grow outdoors. I don't have any outdoor growing experience.

I started it under 19 hours of light with autos I already had going. I've since switched it to a different timer and cut it back a few minutes at a time the last 2 days. It's my understanding that if it were to go outside before June, the light change could cause it to flower early?

The seedling is about 12 days old and going strong. It will probably be going outdoors in early May. Would it be good idea to slowly reduce light to about 14 hours over the course of the next 4-5 weeks, before it goes outdoors?

I should note that I have a separate area, timer and light set up for the seedling now. So I can change its light cycle without affecting the autos I have going.
