Outdoor Crow's GG at 56ºN

Bit of a roundup as I visited all my plants yesterday. What a lovely day it was too, the sun was amazing, and a gentle breeze coming in off the sea to stop it getting too hot. Perfect!

Last visit to the polytunnel I potted up two autos that had slow starts, but are now starting to catch up a bit.

A Super Kush Auto which stayed really tiny for a while, but now developing more normally. A few pistils showing too.

This @Sawney_bean Purple Moon Rocks was also a bit small, but now getting into her stride. That tiny girl to the left is the double headed Skywalker.

Further along, four @Sawney_bean autos are now more than ready to go into the ground. I took them to a GG plot after this photo. One is in flower, a Crystal Meth, with lovely purple buds. The others are just getting bigger, and bigger: one each of Skywalker, LSD and Small Lecter.

Over by the apple tree, the Auto Ducks are building buds in the sunshine. I gave them a feed a few days ago, just water this time. In about a week I'll switch to flower power, but not too much.

We are due some rain starting Monday, which is a bit of a relief as I had to water pretty regularly this week. It's been nice though to have the lovely sunshine. Such a change after a couple of really poor summers...

Travelled to the Bramble plot in the evening, took some compost, water, flower power feed as well as the girls. A fair bit to carry, but I managed. On arrival I was delighted to see that all the plants were looking really healthy, with no sign of the hot dry weather having had a negative impact. On the contrary, the plants are really thriving.

The first wave of autos are doing great. All looking really healthy, and two are only just starting to flower - the Super Kush and Mazar. The Bubblelicious are packing on buds, and the cute Finnish Blueberry are building theirs too, indeed I think they will finish first.

I planted out the four new arrivals and extended the auto mega-cage a bit to accommodate them. They look a bit distressed, but it's just the journey in darkness that's done that. Hopefully they should perk up a bit tomorrow when the sun arrives.

As well as watering in the new arrivals, I gave all the autos some flower power and a wee drop to all the photos too. And that was that. It was after sundown when I left, but still light. I do love this time of year, you can get so much done!

A side shot of the plot on departure. Another eleven autos still to go in here but I reckon there's room. Will be probably a week before I'm back here.

The two @Sawney_bean autos which had earlier stayed small are now getting pretty large. Won't be long before they go to a GG plot.

The double headed Skywalker is doing quite well. One head asserting dominance it seems. Just like Zaphod Beeblebrox. Potted her up after this pic was taken.

I transported the Santa Marta Autos and the Freakshow autos to the polytunnel to grow on. Unfortunately a couple of Santa Marta got stems badly bent during the journey. I patched them up with grafting tape and staked them. Hopefully they'll be okay.

And finally.....I had pretty much given up on the other @Sawney_bean seeds but, today I spotted a solitary Condemned seedling had put in an appearance. Remarkable given how long it's been since planting. As Jeff Goldblum said in Jurassic Park - "Nature finds a way".

The weather has certainly been on your side and all the girls are coming along nicely.

If you want to reduce the outdoor pests attacking the leaves, you can fabricate a simple wooden pole wrapped in copper wire, then just stake it into the container. :jointman:

Mostly capsid bugs, not sure that'll work on them. Very few slugs and snails this year, probably due to the very dry spring. I was picking capsid bugs off my lilies a few weeks back, then crushing them underfoot. Guaranteed effective! :greenthumb:

Went to check on the Auto Ducks, see how they managed with the heavy downpours we've been having. Possibly a wee bit scruffier than before, but to be honest they are looking just fine. I think they are stretching somewhat just now as they build their buds.

Was in the polytunnel briefly, and glad to report that all the Santa Marta autos recovered from their bent stems and are doing fine.

At the back, the Purple Moon Rocks auto from the first wave of @Sawney_bean is now pretty tall and will need to be planted in the ground ASAP. Next to it the shorter Super Kush auto is in flower, so that will need to be planted out too. The double headed Skywalker (Zaphod) seems to be enjoying the bigger pot.
