Grow Mediums Starting out in Soil and Transplanting to AutoPot

Since coco seems to be a bit slower than soil when starting out, I was wondering if it might be beneficial to start in soil (mixed with coco) and transplant into coco-only AirPots when they are big enough to turn the system on.

Has anyone tried this?

I have done that. But not because of "speed test", but because run out of coco/perlite mix. Check in my signature and follow up!
