Mephisto Genetics Stilton Special

Day 57...

One thing I've noticed with the COB is denser and stickier nugs. Can anybody verify this? Only a few grows in so not sure if it's a strain thing or the light.

Love how the LST worked and for future grows I need to do this for other branches. Lower nugs still small but very dense as well. See below

Tent mate on the right , Berry Bomb auto by Bomb. Not documenting her but she's a good looking one color wise. I think she needed more cal/Mag , she's in same soil and everything else but yellowed out a bit. Her colors are nice though and she's dense and smells like licorice.

I'm thinking 2- 3 more weeks for both, they each have a couple amber trichomes so far.

I am by no means an expert but when @BigSm0 helped me switch cobs all of my buds started coming out denser. I grow in coco so it is a little different for me but 2-3 gallons give me the same results as 5 gallons I do water twice a day though. Good looking plants.

Coco is nutz! You get crazy results the more you feed the bigger they get, like a goldfish lol. I was feeding twice had to go to 1x a day cause getting to big. Love result but a lot of work to much for me. Ya talked to BigSm0 going to upgrade asap, but I have what some people would call a little bit of a weed problem hahaha.

Lol! I hear ya. I hope you get some jars full that will afford you the opportunity to do a little Dr. Frankenstein on a plant. Good luck to you and Rican.
Going to play Dr this winter, try my hand with some CS and make some pollen. Make copies of strains that aren't here anymore.

Running cobs is not as easy as some under powered panels but when it's done right and the plants get the exact nutrients they need cobs will definitely give you bigger denser and more resinous buds. Part of it is the spectrum, with any cct, temp cob you are giving the plants much more than colored led panels. Red and blue are ok but far from full spectrum. Next is the power. Some single diode panels use inefficient leds making the total amount of light much lower than expected or stated. Quality Cobs can deliver up to 2 1/2 times the amount of light per watt. Light makes plants grow and that's what these are good at doing.

I have super cropped but not on autos. I have a reg seed in my other tent I tried it on and did it to a few branches. Cool how that works. The branches healed a bit and raised up again, but stayed at an angle. Bud seems to be forming fine. I'll try it on one branch on this Sour Alien I'm messing around with to see what happens.

I'm just messing around and trying diff ideas from all over. It's fun. Really loving the blumats jr.'s , get some of those. Eventually I want to switch to the blumat drip system Ive read a few have on here.
I think that 75 guy does it around 17-21 days,or whenever the branches are Long enough to be tied and stretched out.
I'm trying it on of my Sour Alien Livers I got going . I think I did it a bit early . It's been 15 days since I put it in the pot. See below

I topped it, and removed the big fan leaves and the 2 tiny ones it starts with.

After a little more growth I will top 2 more nodes and tie them all down to pot. See what happens.

This other Sour Alien Livers , that is a week older and smaller, will go all natural and I won't remove any fan leaves or LST. This one actually sprouted with the root coming out and it grew slow when I flipped it over the correct way until soil. Once I transplanted that and inserted the blumat it's been growing steadily. Still at an angle but looking good.

Why is it not as easy? What do you mean, what's the difference bro? I don't know anything about cobs man. Then again, I don't do anything with my p150 now lol. Only moved it 2-3 times from the start, probably to close now hahaha.

Not talking about any particular panel but the par on a lot of lights available is much lower than expected based on wattage. For instance if you had a 150 watt light at 20% efficient that's only 30 par watts. A 300 watt panel 60 par watts. This is also wall wattage and not claimed. So a claimed 300 watt panel is say 150 wall watts @20% is only 30 par watts. With good cobs your up between 50-60% efficient so there is a hell of a lot more useable light per watt. The biggest thing is LED panels are usually bigger. Cobs are 20-35mm. Your pushing a lot of light from a smaller space making it more intense

I misunderstood how you stated it, I see what you are saying now. Soon enough I will be picking some up. Might be 1 at a time but I will get them.
