Started a Mango Smile and Ripley's a couple weeks ago. Popped up on 5/4.
They spend the night in a small 24x15x20in grow box with about 70w of quality LED, days outside under partly cloudy 68-72f Coastal southern California sun.

Mango Smile is doing great.
Poor Ripley had a hard time shredding the shell, and membrane, took a couple days, and now seems rather stunted.

In the past I would just start another, but I'm limited on space.

So you think this girl's going to make it?

And now my Skywalkers at 50 days, started in the little grow box and set outside at about 30 days.

In my last batch of Mephistos the Ripleys was the runt. A slow starter until week 4 when she took off and became a monster (175g dry weight). BTW, your Skywalkers look fantastic.

It looks fine, but:
It does look fairly dark green. You might want to back off on the nitrogen a bit.
It looks like you're watering too closely. When the plant is young, you should water in an imaginary circle just outside the perimeter of the leaves. This encourages the roots(and plant) to grow outward.

I have just finished a grow with a Ripley's in it. I picked up the seeds about 3 months ago. The plant was overall smaller and took a while to get going. Had 6 plants going, 4 went as normal but the ripleys and the super orange haze were very slow. It didn't get as large as the last time I grew a ripley og. It finally started adding some weight in the last 3 weeks and would've continued if I hadn't needed to end the grow due to others ready to finish. (I'm limited on space, 4x4 room is all I have). I just figured that it may have been that one seed. Will have to see how the next one goes.

This is my 3rd batch of Mephisto. I have always got 3 packs of 3 seeds, and every batch I get a couple that don't make it past 2". I guess the extra seed they throw in makes up, but it still messes up the timing for the grow, especially when you are working with limited space and can only have a couple growing at a time.

One batch all the free strain seeds didn't even pop. But again, they were free.

Meph is the only seeds I have ever bought, and the only autos I've grown.
My other seeds are photos that are bag seed or descends of bag seed plants.

2 weeks
Mango Smile truckin right along.

Ripley's finally stated growing, but it's still a little mutant.

I don't have experience with Mephisto, but if I would get a bad germination percentage on different packs of seeds I would first check all my procedures and tools, but if all that fails maybe buy seeds from somewhere else and see if you get the same results. Don't lay all your eggs in the same bucket so to say ;)
Otherwise the plants that 'make' it look great and don't appear to show any defects, so it could be you've received a bad batch?

Either way. :welcome: to AFN. Lot's of information to be found and loads of nice people here willing to help a hand

Regards,

Bob

Cool cloudy May Gray isn't doing me any good.
