This will be both my first auto grow and my first autopot grow. I am not particularly concerned about either but I do have a concern that I hope I can get input on. I look forward to using terpinator in my grow. I tried it in my RDWC grow and it collected on my chiller hoses and my chiller aluminum tubing. I have read of the autovlaves and lines getting blocked and feel like the terpinator would definately gunk it up and cause blockages. Anyone? I was considering applying it from the top.
While I have you grow vets, does the water/nutrients wick up into the media, in my case coco, and about how far does it wick upward? I realize that auto have a long tap root but I see branch roots going laterally up from the lower levels. Do they get moisture from bottom feeding also? Many thanks to those who help a brother out.

I’ve used Terpinator in the reservoir with both Advanced Nutrients Sensi line up and GLN’s MegaCrop. Never had any issues with it. Although I normally never put more in the rez than they can drink in a week, so not a lot of time for things to get gunked up. sometimes you will see what looks like an oil slick rainbow on the top of your solution. I never really worry about it, I just stir it up good before checking pH daily. My only issue with blockages are right where the water goes into the autovalve and I do a weekly preventative maintenance which includes pushing some solution through the lines in both directions with a 60ml syringe.

Done straight coco and coco/perlite and both you could easily stick your finger in the top of the pot and feel the moisture. Run through the end of some of grows on here and look for pictures of the roots. They are extremely dense near the bottom of the pot.

That is what mine looked like! And I haven't put any seeds in the coco/perlite and its still moist...

I was distracted back when I asked this, but I meant to say a big thanks to HemiSync for the excellent input. That is exactly the info that I needed. Thanks Hemidude!

The makers of Terpinator say it's pH neutral at around 6 but the pH of the stuff is less than 5. It really makes my pH more unstable and I use a really stable nutrient line. I am determined to use Terpinator this grow. My OG Kush is now 24" tall and the branches are LST with pipe cleaners and she is starting to really flower nicely. I figured with the time left on the OG K I had time to squeeze in a Mephisto Sour Crack, their fastest finisher at 60 days supposedly.
My next autopot grow will be in smartpots. Check this site out. They had nice prices on autopot stuff. www.webhydroponics.com

I’ve never been that impressed with Terpinator. Admittedly I’ve only had the one bottle over multiple grows but never saw anything worthy of buying another bottle. I’m just going to do it pop22’s way anymore, 525ppm start to finish MegaCrop. Simple is a wonderful thing.

Thanks for the link.

I really appreciate the input. I have been struggling with this. The makers of the nutrient line that I use recommend no additives and definitely no organic in a hydroponic grow. KISS for sure. My ppm are around 530 so I figure I am fine with a pH at a rock solid 5.8 as I am in coco, and my girl is looking 100% fit.
I really miss Hans and having been studying his grows which was hugs factor for me to consider going the Terpinator route because he used it right up to his last grow posted here.
Thanks again

I am still learning this posting stuff. I tried to edit 2 words on my post and ended up replying to my own post.

I think you should be able to delete that post unless you need a certain number of posts I can’t remember. On my posts there is a delete button over on the left bottom of the message.
