Mephisto Genetics Testing for Mephisto

Good luck Pop, hope the RO water resolves your issues

I can say with certainty that it has. some partially damaged plants show signs of recovery already. Makes me wonder how many other people here are having the same problem and don't know it! Of I hadn't switched back to DWC, I might never have found out!

UPDATE:

Res change today. PPMS: 567 including 90 pmms of CalMag. PH'd to 5.8 after adding nutes and CalMag. RO water os so different! With the tap water, my PH would still be like 6.7 after adding nutes and I needed PH down every res change. With the RO water, the PH after adding nutes and calmag was 4.9!! Topping the res to just slightly below the net pots takes about 13 gallons of water. Approximately a 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda corrected the ph to 5.8! Powerful stuff!

One Chemdogging looks like it may be going into flower!

Pop22 we are going to be doing a lot of "back and forth" discussion in couple of weeks ... actually 3 weeks because then I move back home and have to figure out how to filterer my god awful fucking well water that is CHUCK full of extra stuff I dont want in my res. cant remember any of the English words for it but my water smells like rotten eggs and farts

thankfully no chlorine and in couple of months we are getting communal water, my girlfriends family has just been waiting 27 fucking YEARS for the city to finally lay water to their farm

I hope its going to be like the water when I lived in the city, stable 5,6 PH and around and under 200 PPM right out of the crane but I would normally use a 20 gallon or 75 liter barrel filled half the way up, then I had a smaller bucket hanging in the top filled with small lava rocks that I would pump that water up to the bucket and let them leak down the sides of the barrel, it was a very silent system that gave me fantastic water but the dream was always to make that into an nutrition mixer for compost tea system but that never happened, was suppose to be linked to 4x 15 liter/4 gallon DWC buckets then be pumped up into a 2 gallon tote filled with sand and reeds then drain into a fish tank with life fish in it and then back down the to resivor barrel

Never went that far with it because I moved cities half the way through the project and left a lot of my gear, closes I got to this was putting my room mates extra fish into my organic resivor tote connected to an overly complicated drip system

canna organic Aqua does not kill fish but it does bleach them :D

You have sulphur water! and if the ppms are high, it can be bad for your plants. You might water some type of under the counter pre-filter, even with the new water source. Find out whether they use chlorine, or chloromine. If its chloromine, they only way to get rid of it is with an RO filter, bubbling/boiling/etc doesn't work!

If you want dead simple hydro, check out my Mini Kratky 1.0 thread, you may find it interesting!

Ah, I know that smell allllll too well, no pun intended lol, got well water myself. It's got some natural sulfur odor, but that's not just the only problem with well water. Mine has a shockingly high ph of 8.1 to 8.3 due to millennia of its normal filtering through limestone rock beds. It's also exceedingly high in Calcium, combined with the lime produces that white chalky limescale buildup on everything lol. This limescale coats plant roots and locks up the whole damn plant system! I've actually pulled up a plant and seen the coating on the roots! Yikes! Lately, been collecting rainwater with ghetto buckets under the edge of the roof lol, problems solved :) got a few gallons of store bought distilled water on standby for dry spells :)

Just some pics. The ladies are finally looking healthy, if a bit stunted. One is in flower, the one to its right looks like she will soon! Can't wait to see some bud!

If you want to know though, how tough Mephisto plants are, in the lower pic, the little plants is a Cheese x Durrty dragon I crossed. It was put in the res at the same tome with the Chemdogging!

I agree Pop, I have really been impressed by how well mine are doing after a very rocky start

Yeah okey really glad hear about the rain water idea because no idea why that did not cross my mind :D

that is going to be my savior, actually there is no chlorine added to the water but I hope next spring I get city water because the water here is really good that comes out the tap

WOOOOO EEEEEE! My Chemdogging ladies are finally looking very good, and now I can feel good about this grow! They really started growing noticeably the last few days. I might end up with some good buds finally!

One Auto Cush was big enough to transplant and place in the new res. Its sharing the res right now with a Dragon's Blood. The DB may get transferred to a 5 gallon Kratky bucket. I'm thinking this is the last one of these seeds I have so If I mess it up well that's the way it goes. But I'm thinking it will work out fine. The other Auto Cush should be ready to transplant in a day or two.
The new res filled with RO water and is PH'd to 5.8, ppms are at 397 of Maxigrow and also some Cal/mMag. I'll get pics of the new res after I finish transplants as there are also 2 DD x KVS almost ready.
