Hi there, also a legal hobby grower, way south of Buffalo. Concerned about finishing before cold and wet budrot. Set out late here, freebie seeds. When do you usually start seed indoors and then set out for good? You have a lot of experience I notice.
On heavy dews and after rains I go out and grab the top of the main stem and shake till no more water is coming off. It goes a long ways to help against bud rot. Use a rain jacket or you will get soaked.

:pass::thanks:@Shiva's Mistress She is close to where last years plant was when the rain storm ripped her up. I watched a video of some Cali farmers (@WildBill post) that used ree rod and fencing to support their plants.
2-20 foot peices of ree rod cut in half and hamered into the ground 3 feet and some fencing that I had about 30 bucks. Time will tell :smokeit:

I think it's a pretty cool and easy method of training.

It looks super solid.
I just had a typhoon, and it's still ripping very strong winds for the past five or more days.
My plant support is two thick lengths of hemp rope, haha!!!!

We finally got a good rain this morning. I gave the Dutch Passion Lemon Z girls a more aggressive trim this week. What's left on the shorter one is still too dense. The taller one spread out more and I can see through the canopy now. They're in early flower.

Update on the Steel Roots auto which finished up this weekend. I noticed this wild growth after I harvested it but a quarter of the plant grew entirely different and was still green and healthy at harvest. Different leaf form and flower formation. Anyways it smells great like a soft linen grape haze. It handled rather well outdoors in the greenhouse, I only spotted one tiny bit of BR. Definitely stoked to check it out soon, I love fresh outdoor bud!
Ah, I've had a similar bizarre maturation split! Weird AF, it's like a younger branch was grafted onto the plant :wtf: LOL
She has lots of large-head trich's 🤩 ...gonna be gummy, stiff bud, like grinder-fouling messy!
...her aroma sounds fantastic, really appealing combo that- 😛
Tried to get my friend to join AFN and get in on this but he don’t like tech too much. These are his granddaddy purp and blue dream currently
Wow, some choice olde school stuff Jp! ...gawd, how many years has it been since I had actual legit Blue Dream...?! I remember when it was the Fresh Stuff, born just north of me... the aroma of the real deal was amazing, room smoke smell 2x so! Nothing else smelled like it, lots of haze features in it...incense in particular...

Ditto for GDP, berry punch candy stank, lovely colors, happy floaty body buzz.... :zen:
Your mate reminds me strongly of our lost brother GrowtoGrow,... miss that crazy bastard! And his hefty girls :hump:

update on the Plant Sex Magic auto. She also met the boogie man this weekend. I had lost the main cola a few weeks ago due to bug damage damn caterpillars! :fire: anyways early or not she's fire tasty smoke! Im looking forward to seeing what several more weeks of ripening did for the lower half of the plant. I really like the zebra stripe grape bubblegum aroma and flavor. The Duke which was used in all this years auto crosses paired incredibly with 3 different cultivars and created 3 entirely different results and the grape notes from a cookie Chem n blue cheese crose is insane.
 aka Chop-Eyes the Harvest Man!
Fekkin' vermin, how did it happen? Did they chew through or did the damage invite the Rots to piss the punch bowl on that? I know the feeling, remember how I lost the top half of the Sour Strawburried to the Rots on the main stem?
Zebra Stripe gum! ...childhood fav' that stuff, for all 30 seconds the flavor lasted 😂...
....let us know how the riper stuff tuned out! Her "hairless" bud is a trip, pretty rare to have this super minimal pistilate flowers...

Duke is a gold standard crosser Jean, the more you shake that family tree the more phat Aunties fall out! :woohoo1:
this year has been crazy busy for me at the tool n die shop I'm running with the owners daughter I wish I could find more time to be on the site, everyone looks to be having a lot of fun in the sun this year. Hopefully we all get a good haul for our efforts!
I hear ya,...the auto run this year has not been well tended by me :baghead: ... I finally got hit with the COVID shit, beginning of the month... Wasn't that bad overall, but it took the starch right TF outta me, Mojo missed a beat or two and that's all it takes with auto's... I do have two RBF's, very young yet, so maybe I can land those in better fettle!

update on the photos! Things are happening. Flowers are poping on most all the girls.
The Rev is getting after it. This was a favorite last year with everyone i shared it with.
You nailed the size management this time Jean, they are whipped into line and lookin' fine!
Rev' was very tempting, a Legend rerun too, but had to pass this season... Speed Racer was top priority, and some fool devil in my ear said run the Lav'MP'99 x StrawDawg as a back-up 😅
My ass is going to get kicked this year (hopefully), I have 12 plants :eek1: LOL ... two, the extra Pineapple Poison and Karma Sour x NL, I could not find good homes for...
Some got bigger than I wanted, some blooming later than expected, curveballs like the MOGK99... late Sept-early Oct is going to be batshit for me!

Honey Badger a true full photoperiod out thus year still awaiting some flowers. She's definitely transitioning another week or 2. Hopefully ill be able to get her to the finish line all the way. I really like this new project.
We never can be sure about what we get, hey? 🫨 ....look at Crazian, it almost ridiculous that she's not even hinting at bloom yet even all the auto's in her family tree!
And that LavMP99aSD, holy crap, she's STILL going up and making heavy bones too! Wait 'til you see pics Tues, it's cray-cray 😵‍💫
She's so big now I MUST shove her into a bigger pot or it'll be PITA to manage her well through finish. She's making fat pom-poms so far

Crazy K', it's that super tight node stacking making all the leaves... Fast Orange Cake is similar in this... lots of nuggies stacked up in there, just hidden!
Seems that reveg' thing contributes to this strongly...
