Just a quick update foks. Thank you all for the Karma and prayers. Keep em' coming. We have been evacuated since early
(2am)Friday morning. A sleepless night, and had to work the last two days as well. The zone we live in was infiltrated and has burned sporadically throughout the area. There is no way to tell which areas were not defended at this time. So far 86 homes have burned. Prayers to those families. I finally got some sleep though now. I know Root has had less than I.

Working where I do, I get to meet all kinds of folks. I have heard no less than three stories either way about the homes in our area. The only thing I can say, is speculation can hurt folks emotionally.

We are staying in my bosses RV, which is in their driveway. We are all safe, except one cat, Halfa. We have registered with the proper agencies you would expect to be available to evacuees, (13,000 or so).

I had to buy a cellphone after all. Dammit. I keep calling my house hoping to hear the answering machine pick up. Then I will know the house is okay. Still nothing yet. But that doesn't mean anything, like hearing the answering machine would.

We are hoping for the best
