Freiya, this is a simple salient fact: regular Mods have no power to ban anybody, period,... This action is reviewed by Supers and Admin., discussed, and most important, a given members history, good and/or bad, is taken into full account,... It may sound and feel satisfying to flame and blame the Mods, but the reality is such actions are outside the scope of our 'powers" and duties,... believe me, there is plenty of differing opinion amongst the entire staff, there no sycophants or posers,... the person in question here has been on the radar several times before, and much has been let slide,... ( only really grievous violations of the terms, which every member agrees to as actual members, will get somebody bounced immediately).... but after a certain point there is no more slack, rightfully so,...*** vendors get no special treatment either... if you knew the fine folks in Admin., especially Aunty Mossy, for whom this site was made, you'd trust in their integrity... stuff like all-- this-- pains her, literally,... I'm no chest beater myself either... look me up-- you'll find no war drums beating in my camp! I only comment when things become utterly distorted ..

AMEN.

The whole Idea behind AFN is to make a Peaceful site with people who Need and Breed cannabis meds...not to spend all weekend trying to talk down members who have nothing else to do with their time but cause trouble over Nothing.

People who actually Need med help are being overshadowed by crap like this taking all the Mods time up because a member has a bad head on.

I Visited the thread and explained to him that the same post...posted twice in a thread in less that an hour looked like flaming to me and we have zero tolerance on flaming.

He explained he hadn't meant to double post..that was accepted and the issue was settled...go look at the thread.
The double post and the offensive word has not be changed or deleted.

Until Gloom decided to kick it off again in the Censored thread.

I did Not need to notify him in mails.
I had already spoken to him in thread...that coupled with his long history in Reported Posts for the same sort of incident decided my action

I had two choices..do I give him a Temporary 48 hour ban to cool off..or do I spend all weekend trying to Talk him down like we have at other times.

My time on site is spent Helping medical canna patients..not babysitting members who seem to Enjoy the havoc they cause here...repeatedly.

So there you have it...if you are a Repeated disturber of the Vibe..Action will be taken...members might not Like it...BUT..members don't See the reported posts and all the backroom history that helps us decide a case like this.

I don't see why I or members of Staff should be embroiled in crap all weekend because someone has nothing better to do that to go around taking swipes at staff for Fun.

This is an Adult site...we Expect Adult Behaviour.

There is not one canna site on Earth where you can Ignore an Admin request and expect no Action ..:no:

The ONLY argument you can possibly make is that the mods can basically do whatever they want and we should just get over it.

I'd Love to see you pull this kind of thing at ICmag..RIU..or any other cannabis site out there...your arse wouldn't hit the ground.

AFN is different because we stamp out his kind of behaviour..no flaming..no trolling..no bullying...that is the only reason we have a site that ordinary people want to Visit...we don't tolerate the usual canna site bratish behaviour.

If you think this infringes your right to freedom of speech..then bugger off to somewhere that doesn't have those rules..OR..if you are as ardent as you appear..set up your own forum..where you can set up your own Rules...
