Ok I think I finally understand and am confident enough to try scrogging. My only question is when do you start putting the branchs through the net? I mean with a photo strain I can weave the main branch through let the rest reach the net then flip to 12/12 but with an auto what if the nets to high and the other branches dont reach the net or so low that you run out of room too weave? Probably dont make sense or a silly newbie asking a stupid question.
Scrogging basically gives you plenty of main colas so to speak by ensuring even lower branchs get the same distance of light? Im really feeling to try this with my cream caramels
My understanding of this method is to put the screen approximately 8 to ten inches away from the top of the soil level so try and keep your soil at the same level on all plants. When the plant reaches the screen start training it to cover the screen evenly. I am trying this on Think Different as it grows from 1-1.5m and because of my setup with the light rail and screen it should evenly distribute the light to all plants and colas. The difference with autos and photos is the plant will tell you when its reached its full height horizontally when it doesn't reach the next hole in the net. But with photos you can grow it to fill the net until you change photo period. You then let the plant grow through the hole for 3 inches then tuck it under the screen to the next hole the way you want the branch to go.
This is my first attempt at this so be gentle
