New Grower Think Different 2nd time grow SCROG (hopefully)

Ok I think I finally understand and am confident enough to try scrogging :o. My only question is when do you start putting the branchs through the net? I mean with a photo strain I can weave the main branch through let the rest reach the net then flip to 12/12 but with an auto what if the nets to high and the other branches dont reach the net or so low that you run out of room too weave? Probably dont make sense or a silly newbie asking a stupid question.

Scrogging basically gives you plenty of main colas so to speak by ensuring even lower branchs get the same distance of light? Im really feeling to try this with my cream caramels

My understanding of this method is to put the screen approximately 8 to ten inches away from the top of the soil level so try and keep your soil at the same level on all plants. When the plant reaches the screen start training it to cover the screen evenly. I am trying this on Think Different as it grows from 1-1.5m and because of my setup with the light rail and screen it should evenly distribute the light to all plants and colas. The difference with autos and photos is the plant will tell you when its reached its full height horizontally when it doesn't reach the next hole in the net. But with photos you can grow it to fill the net until you change photo period. You then let the plant grow through the hole for 3 inches then tuck it under the screen to the next hole the way you want the branch to go.

This is my first attempt at this so be gentle :jump:

day 18

I have decided to grow all the plants from right to left in single file I have not got enough room for seven so six in a row and the runt I will decide after I see some growth and decide where to put her. SAM_0822.jpg

One has penetrated the screen so I pulled the leaves though to give her a little hand SAM_0808.jpg

here is a shot from underneath SAM_0815.jpg
I have lined them up in height so the ones in front are easier to train as they will need it first.

I have got some yellowing in the tips of the biggest plant anyone know what it is I still havent fed them so unless it gets worse I will leave until first feed. SAM_0816.jpg:peace:

I have started to train my ladies SAM_0848.jpg SAM_0849.jpg
by pulling them through the mesh and tucking it to the next hole.

here is how my ladies are getting on SAM_0854.jpgSAM_0856.jpgSAM_0857.jpgSAM_0858.jpgSAM_0859.jpg SAM_0860.jpgSAM_0861.jpg i broke a leaf of the bigger plant by mistake it should be ok need to take more care

day 25 yellowing of the leaves seems to have stopped

my ladies are doing ok I think SAM_0862.jpgSAM_0863.jpgSAM_0864.jpg the yellowing of the tips of the new growth has ceased after giving them 1ml per litre of fish tea in ph 6.5 water. I am thinking the new growth is a bit spindly and it might be the temperature when the lights are off. I have changed the lighting to 20/4 as well to try and combat this. any advice would be appreciated :peace:

I took the last photos just before I put the light on here is another couple a few hours later they seem to have perked up a bit. The yellow on the tips of the young leaves definitely isn't getting any worse. SAM_0869.jpgSAM_0871.jpg
