New Grower Think Different.

Well I took the decision to remove the twins from the DWC an put into soil as I would not get a good comparison. I germinated a fresh seed in the moist paper a few days ago, then moved to a root riot cube. Today i popped its head through.

Can anyone advise of the best time to move into the DWC. There is one root showing at the bottom of the cube. I have read a few peoples ideas about partially submerging the cube in the DWC until the roots show through the new pot. Is this a good idea?

Hi guys.
Well I transplanted the twins in to soil, they seem to be quite happy with minimal shock. I have had some heat issues, but I think I will be on top of it in a few days when I harvest my last NL photo plant. Once its down I can move these lot under a cool tube and run this bulb in series with it in another cool tube i have got hold of.



The first TD showed its lady parts about 5 days ago, still quite short and I would say a bit stretched. I am not sure why, I had it as close too the 400w HPS as I could with out showing to much heat stress. It was potted in some regular garden soil that was rotovated with some chicken poop. (just trying it for giggles)



My first DWC TD has taken root, and looks to be doing ok. Unsure about nutrient schedule as I have never grown TD or in DWC, figures crossed I don't make a total mess of it.




And last but not least a few of my first ever Auto.
It is a Northern lights x Big bud...

The up turning on the edges of the TD's looks like it maybe a common feature of this strain when they are young.. i've had it with all mine, and so have a few others here. so it may not be heat stress after all .. Good luck with the rest of the grow :gthumb:

Lookin gd,,my TD was a twin also but it was only 1 stem that took off,,i hav left it but its really small & been coverd from the light..:smokebuds:

same here I am doing my first 6 site DWC and soil to see what kind of difference I get....I f its worth it I will be doing a 24 site DWC on the next round....Your right on unbanfarmer 1/4 to 1/3 nutes are perfect anything more usually burns them up......Also do you run cal-mag in your autos...

I have heard that about the leaf curl but if you look at his other they are all curling up a little....Maybe to hot???? because his TD is in a DWC and the other is in soil root builder pot and doing the same thing so my guess would be heat or something...I could be wrong just trying to help
