So I have experience with soil growing... I may just stick to it.... I had some freebie seeds from nirvana so I got a wild hair and decided to do a Rubbermaid tote style setup. They really took off, but recently I first noticed some rust spots on the lower leaves, and then some lighter green "tiger stripes" on the upper leaves. I was thinking nutrient deficiency. I know some of you would shoot me for my ignorance, but I was really keeping this simple, kinda like a side hobby from my main grow, so no, I don't know ec, ppm, or such crap. I do keep an eye on ph, and it has been good. Any tips?

Working on that. Using an iPad, so evidently I need the app. Going to download it now, but the girls are in the dark right now and it is close to bedtime, so I will post tomorrow.

sounds strange ive never heard of it before but if you get pics up tomorrow im sure someone will have a shot at diagnosing, might get more interest if you moved it to the infirmary but i dunno if its that serious.
rust spots sounds like cal/mag deficiency(?) though get a second opinion im no good at diagnosis.
...anyway stay strong!

That sounds interesting no doubt.Tiger striped?,almost like a varigated fern or something.Like a molted purple n green patterns, reds, blues.LOL!A pic would be super cool, cant wait to see that man.

Sounds like cal/mag...pics would help...

Google images will show a bunch of different plants and suggested fixes. How does it work, simple find one picture that resembles yours closest. click picture, click twice again and you land into the forum the plant was posted in.

Best of luck waiting for a picture update to help ya further.

I managed to set my avatar to a pic of my auto bubblelicious. That's about as far as I could get. Through research, I determined it was a cal mag ficiency, and cold temps in my tank. I have also determined that dirt is superior for my needs. Sure, hydro is cool, and it works gat for some, but plants want to grow in dirt, whereas you have to convince them to grow hydro. I'm sticking to what I know.

I'd say you've got a cal/mg def (rust spots) & a zinc def (tiger stipes) but need pics man..
