It all depends on what your doing and how your doing it. Constant current drivers are double the price of constant voltage. Heatsinks range in prices too, some are 12 while some are 25. Citizen has made things more affordable for us.

Why did u go with the 1812 vs the 1818?

They are basically the same, the more expensive cobs just have more leds per chip. They all achieve the same efficiency just at different wattages. The major difference is the 1212 is 36v while the 1812 and 1818 are 50v
