Grow Mediums To Be or Not To Be ...

Today the two newest ladies have popped their heads and are ready for their adventure. They are FAST BUDS: LSD-25 and STAR DAWG. Both are Indica leaning so I may not have a monster spring forward like I am seeing with FAST BUDS: MEXICAN AIRLINE. They are using coco and perliteas well as no air domes. I find that my grows are better without them. No, I did not do a study on them. It is just my view when I see the roots. With the air dome the roots are totally encase the dome. Now there is a mass of roots but around the dome. Without the dome the roots are hitting the pots inner walls about 5 inches from the bottom. I see more roots. Currently they are sitting underneath LINDA SEEDS: FAT BLUEBERRY. Goodness knows they is some room and shade for them THERE.

All of the established ladies are getting the same nute mix. The mix is 16 liters, Epsom Salts = 50PPM, BOTANICARE liquid Cal/Mg 14 ml = 180 PPM, Greenleaf Bud Explosion 6 gram = 200 PPM and MC3 at 16 grams for a total of between 980 and 1020 PPM total. The PH for this a natural 6.1 so that is where I leave it. The rez also seems to be holding the PH at 6.1 - 6.2. All of my ladies seem to like this ratio as Smoothie has green leaves as does Fat Blueberry. I am please.
FAST BUDS: SMOOTHIE. She has the "bad" mix of coco I made, so she sits balancing on her tray. Smoothie is now 73 days. She is being hand watered and will be until harvest.

FAST BUDS: SMOOTHIE. She has really greened up and all I have for now is a pic of one of her buds. Day 54

FAST BUDS: WEDDING CHEESE CAKE. I really did not think she would be able to grow well after her toxic medium that I mixed up. Boy was I mixed up when I mixed it. She was struggling to survive and then I raised her out of the tray full with water and it was PH 7.0. I took her and two others out of their trays and they started to come back to life. She was a runt and so small so I snipped her top. AGAIN I do things because I want to see what happens. She is now 54 days old and looks sort of like a poinsettia, yes sort of. All of her branches were tied down after the snip and she is starting to sparkle and the light catches her trichomes and she beams. So happy she did not let me kill her

FAST BUDS: MEXICAN AIRLINES She was another lady who got the "MIX" and was even smaller that Wedding Cake but look at her now. Day 54 and she is 48 inche/122 cm. She will not be as tall as LINDS SEEDS: FAT BLUEBERRY but she can stop growing taller anytime she wants. She is very Sativa and has many branches on branches. I have tried to clean out her insides near the main stem. Some of her main fan leaves from stem to top is 10" long.

00 SEEDS BANK: CHEESE BERRY she is 79 today. I have taken some trichomes pics and see that she is not yet ready for harvest. She has some cloudy but most are clear. For me she has a way s to go. She too is covered in trichomes and they are getting cloudy. She has that tint of blue

LINDS SEEDS: FAT BLUEBERRY. What is there to say. She is huge and FAT and is bulking up her buds. She is TALL, When I harvest I'll see how tall she is then. Far too sticky to reach in there.

At 79 days old she looks closer to a harvest than the others. She has mostly cloudy and a few amber. What are your thoughts? The first sample I had was way to racy and a quick buzz. I do not grow many Sativas. She too is getting blue.

Thoughts on trichs, for me I like 40 to 50 percent amber, but obviously that's is opinion and what works best for my needs your garden is looking great, you got some big ole ladies in there.
