So I decided to take my first shot at topping and just cut a HubbaBubbaSmellaScope between the 4th and 5th nodes. Should I cut off the 1st through 3rd nodes or just work them in when I LST over the next few weeks?

Totally personal call M8. If youve topped at the 4th node then you have 8 good branches/colas to train. Some ppl cut of the first 2 nodes if they're weak. Any plants I've topped I've topped at the 4th and trained the 8 main stems/branches. Good luck. Have a look at autobeasts topping thread and you'll be well guided.
Thanks..I was gonna pull down the main two like I would if I wouldn't have topped, but figure I can pull more evenly to each side now

When topping, Auto will slow down a day or two to heal back. Heavy LSTing along with topping a few days more. Nothing crazy and should be still be close to number of days.
That’s a good strain to top, IMO. Ya should have a beast. Don’t know what ya growing in, indoors or outdoors. But if indoors, hope ya have enough room. Most peeps top Hubba. And they can become monsters of a plant. Personally have not grown that strain, but is one I hope to get one day.
