Okay, fellow AFN'ers!

Fresh off a DISASTROUS Cheesus and E.T. Dragon Debacle/Failure that had me culling 7 seedlings (due to an soil amendment that has been identified and tossed)
It is now time to start something else and that something else is Mephisto Genetics Sour Bubblin' Crack and I'm growing two of em!

Both have been germed in Root Riot cubes on the ol' Wifi and once it was obvious that they were on the way, they were potted in 2 gal airpots.

Medium:

75% FFHF
20% Super Chunky Perlite
5% Finer Perlite

with:

A couple tablespoons of Garden Lime
A couple hefty shakes of Great White Mycos

Back to my Roots! (HA! See what I did there?)

They are in the starter tent which just received a 60W/6500K CFL upgrade for some extra heat.
Holding 83º with the circulation fan on "1" and an RH of 35% So very happy with the passive
conditions in there :)

Without further ado...I give you....

Laverne is first to lift off....Day 1 (today):

Shirley will probably surface by tomorrow...I can see the elbow coming up :)

...and a shot of the inside of the starter tent now :)

So here we go! 2nd Mephisto grow..."Give us any chance, we'll take it....Give us any rule, we'll break it!"

Thanks, Duggy :)

They'll only spend the first 25-30 days in this tent, then it's off to the Big tent (Bigger, anyway) with the Carbon Scrubber :)

Are they super stinkers? I only found 2 grows in the journals and one was cut short....

Good luck trap, I dropped one these babies and an auto blues last night. It'll be good to compare how I'm getting on. :goodluck:

Nice one trapper!
All the best with this :) mitch

Thanks, Strawberry...Cool to hear you just dropped one also, I love to see concurrent grows :)

...burn your nose hair at 50 paces stinky..:smoke:

That is good news to me, Duggy :)

Thanks, Mitch! :) I'm excited to get going with this new duo :) They germed and lifted off fast and perfectly.

As I expected, Shirley showed up overnight :) For the purposes of this journal, I think I will just call yesterday Day 1 for both.

Hey guys, I could use opinions.....

I have a 180W (110W actual) UFO and a 60W 6500K CFL in here, about 22" away from the girls....
It's holding 83º-84º at between 28-35% RH.

How long should I leave those little, vented, plastic cups on top of the seedlings?

I'm assuming they're used to keep temps and RH up underneath there and to protect
the youngin's from so much direct light.

Just looking for some opinions/explanations for when to take them outta there (the cups)

Thanks!

Hi Trapper :) I leave them on until the first real leaves develop- maybe 3-4 days from pop. I don't always use them, if the RH is high enough locally, but when I do I check the seedlings a lot to make sure they don't "bump the ceiling"... .02 from Waxi :)
