Lighting Upgrading tent - need appropriate light.

I currently own a small ds60 & 250w but was only able to get 1 plant in there last time, prompting me to seek a bigger set up, preferably for 2 plants (2 is plenty for me)

I figured a dr120 or ds120, whichever model is favoured, would be better suited to my needs.

But im guessing im going to need a light upgrade too? I could probably stretch to a 400w but would hate to go any bigger just yet.

I liked the efficiency off the 250w so 400 wouldn't be to drastic for me.

Is a 250w positively too small for a 120x120x200 tent? I believe a ds90 would suit the 250 or 400w but not sure how much of a squeeze it would be with 2 plants.

My last plant grew to the shape of my ds60 and ended up a totally square plant.

Hey there , tent upgrade is always a good thing sir ! When I first got a 120x120 I ran it also with a 250hps 1 plant 15-20ltr pot. Had great grows , two plants in that room would be fine.

400w would do you well I guess , 4 plants for a 120x120 is ace in my opinion, however if you can I would go with a 600w everytime.

I don't really see any difference in my electricity bill from a 250 to a 600. With inline and room fans , air pumps etc. just do it it's the most efficient light.

You could just buy from ebay the tent framework for a fraction of the price and just wrap a Mylar skin around.

Whatever your choice I would go with a bigger grow space , especially if your cramping your space wth just one plant.

If I was still using my 250 I would most Definatley run it in my 120 and do a SCROG.

If I'm reading this right, you have a 120X120 tent as well. You're suggesting a 600 watt hps, but you use a 250 watt. Is there a reason you don't bump up your light as well?

Na I mean , I used to run a 250 before I installed a 600.

And I'm sure there is a slight change in running costs but I have never looked
At the electric bill.
