Indoor UVB In My Tent!?!

That chart refers to the entire light spectrum. It doesn't say anything about amounts of UV-B. it claims that it does nothing at all in the 315nm-400nm range and that 280-315 range is harmful. Look at the charts on Arcadias site. Both the 12% and 6% bulbs give of the majority of their light in what appears to be the 315nm-400nm range and the 12% just gives off more of it. Although 6% Forest bulb does have a more varied spectrum. I thought the whole point of my LEDs was to cover the rest of the light spectrum my cannabis plants need

The Charts

Arcadia D3+ 12% UV-B
ArcadiaT5D3Plus-12%.jpg

Arcadia D3 6% UV-B
ArcadiaT5D3-6%.jpg

See... the 6% bulb is better for plant growth because it emits higher amounts of the entire light spectrum. But, we already get all of the light we need from that part of the spectrum from LEDs or HPS bulbs or whatever. I'm thinking the entire point of these bulbs is to provide high amounts from a part of the light spectrum that my LEDs don't provide. The part that the study says boosts THC. Regardless, there isn't much of a difference between the two bulbs except the 12% gives off double the amount in the 300nm-400nm range...which is the whole point of the bulb.

UVB is just one way to stress a plant into producing more resin I personally prefer using SAR http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Systemic_acquired_resistance in the form of AN Bud Factor X it's a lot safer than UVB and 100% works....my Auto Blueberry I've just grown is stronger than a friends Buddha Cheese grown under 600w HPS.

Hey TaNg, question for ya. Do you use bud factor x as a foliar spray or can it be used other ways? I have started using a little UVB recently in hopes of some good results but have been hearing quite a bit about AN products, although researching it most places I've read recommend a spray but never mention any other methods of delivery.. Thanks for your time, sorry if it's a silly question, just out of patience for the day to go around any longer reading, I get worn out easily sometimes... Thanks bro

You can water it in. I didn't even know it could be used as a spray. Tang's Feeding Schedule

Thank You Sir. I had actually read over three diff sites and found nothing on including it with reg feeding, all they discussed was spraying it, says allow it to soak in during the dark period and whala.. Bigger more resinous buds, lol only prob is it says don't use it if you have high humidity, and I have that for sure.
I appreciate it, thanks again

No bro just add to the feed for the last 2 weeks before flush at 2ml per L.

Bud Factor X is Chitosan like bug exoskeletons so I under stand why it triggers SARS. Is that link implying using Aspirin would also trigger the SAR response?

UPDATE: Received my Arcadia D3+ bulbs with fixtures. Huge props to LightYourReptiles.com. From what I've read these Arcadia bulbs are the best but tough to get in the states. These guys give a discount for multiple bulbs and fixture combinations. Fast shipping and well packaged. If you're considering Arcadia bulbs this site is the way to go.

Information is scattered and disputed (big surprise) but the 34" 39w Arcadia should be the appropriate output for my 35" x 35" tent. I'm going to implement this baby from the 4th week of flowering until harvest. I'm going to run it for six hours in the middle of my light cycle. It will hang vertically in the corner of the tent about 6" from the plant. I think hanging vertically will really maximize the buds exposure. I rotate every night 1/4 turn so no one side of the plant should get overexposure.
My signature has the link for my WoS NL x BB grow which will be my "guinea pig". At this point I'm sure UV will make a difference. The question is the significance of that difference. I am unable to test THC so hopefully the high is all the results I'll need
